Roman Invasion- Year 4
Ready for battle? Year 4’s history topic is: ‘The Romans Empire and its
impact on Britain’. Other than history, children acquire and practice skills in
expressive art and design: making Roman armour and recreate an ‘invasion’
and ‘reaction’ reflecting on the way Boudicca and her Celtic tribe tried to
defend their way of life from a Roman invasion. Using collaboration skills they
have learnt as part of our Commando Joe scheme, here are year 4 designing
their Scutum’s .

We are proud to announce our 3 top scorers for Time Table
Rock Stars: Erin year 6, Mikiyas year 5 and Daniel year 5.
Well done to everyone who participated.
This term we are focusing on the Value RESPECT.
We are learning about the importance of treating others with
respect even if we sometimes do not agree with the way they
behave or the things they say. We have also been discussing
how we should treat the things that belong to us and to others
respectfully. To support you in your discussions at home, a fact
sheet with activities for our RESPECT value has been emailed to
parents/carers. We hope these leaflets which support our gospel
teachings and reflections can support the discussions about the
value we will be focusing on each term.
Class DOJO’s are awarded when RESPECT for learning and each
other is achieved by all.
Be on time at ten to nine!
Sadly, every class still had late marks
this week – despite the offer of
DOUBLE class Dojo’s for classes who
achieved 100% of the class in school
by 9am when registration CLOSES. We
will be offering DOUBLE Dojo’s again
next week. Lets work together to
improve our punctuality and
attendance.
