Dear Parents,
I would like to welcome you to our new school year. It has been a pleasure to see all the children back to
school and welcoming our new families to our community.
This week we have been thinking about the journey we are on together. Will you get on the bus with
us…………. ?
On our journey we are going to become better:
Readers, Writers, Mathematicians, Scientists, Religious scholars and explorers in
history, geography, art, cookery, music, computing, and design technology.
We will develop our knowledge in Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education
to become healthier by exercising more and eating a balanced diet.
I met with Chartwells, the school caterers, and a group of Year 6 children to discuss how we can work together
to have school lunches that are healthy and appeal to their taste. For activities you can do at home please look
at: https://www.nhs.uk/change4life
To help improve everyone’s fitness, Mr Mohamud will be inviting you and your child to a daily run on
the Sports Arena every morning, starting Monday 9th September at 8:20am – 8:35am .
Have a good weekend!
