PRESIDENT, 2013-2013 STUDENT BAR ASSOCIATION

J.D. Candidate, 2013Santa Clara University School of Law

SCU Law Friends,

I hope everyone had a great Fall Recess and found some time to relax.

We've got a short week this week, but there are a few upcoming events you should add to your calendar.

First, this next Thursday, October 18th, the SBA is hosting a Town Hall with Dean Polden. There, Dean Polden will address student issues and concerns raised by the Student Action Committee and will answer questions from students in the audience. This is a great opportunity to come meet the Dean and constructively discuss issues that are important to you! All students are welcome and free lunch will be provided.

Second, the following Thursday, October 25th, the SBA is hosting our annual Halloween Bar Review at Studio 8 in Downtown San Jose. If history repeats, this will be the best Bar Review of the year. Get your costumes ready and plan ahead for a fun and safe evening.

Finally, just so you can save the date, this years Barrister's Ball (the law student formal) will be on Friday, February 22nd at the Fairmont Hotel in Downtown San Jose. This is the biggest SCU law event of the year and it'll definitely be an awesome night to remember.

Enjoy your short week!Best,

Grant Atkinson
