Notable faculty…Dr. David W. Carter, assistant professor of organizational management and leadership and program director of organizational leadership and transformational change graduated from Benedictine University with a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education, Leadership and Organizational Development. He also earned a Master of Arts in Military History from Norwich University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maryland University College. Dr. Carter has given speeches at events across the nation and has received numerous awards, including the Professor of the Year Award from the Washburn University Leadership Institute in 2015. He is also an author who wrote a 2013 bestseller—Mayday Over Wichita: The Worst Military Aviation Disaster in Kansas History.

FAQHow long will it take to complete my degree?This varies depending upon several factors, including how much previous college credit you have. Friends University requires 124 credit hours to complete a bachelor’s degree. The Organizational Leadership and Transformational Change degree major is a 63-credit-hour program and Friends accepts up to 78 credit hours from other accredited colleges and universities. Any remaining credits needed can be completed at Friends. You can determine your own pace – your admission counselor can give you a better idea of timeframe.

Is financial aid available?Students enrolled in 12 credit hours during a 16-week period will be considered full time for financial aid purposes. To learn more about your financial aid options, call or email 316-295-5200 or [email protected].

What are my options for earning this degree?The Organizational Leadership and Transformational Change degree program is offered on campus, online or in a combination of both. Most students take two classes every eight weeks.

Is the degree accredited?Yes. All Friends University undergraduate and graduate degrees are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
