To help the students explore the different career options available in the field of film making.

To give a platform to the students this will enable them to make right career choices in their life.

To apprise the options in radio jockeying and music production. Participants: Grade XI & XII Students Highlights:

Active participation of the students in different activities.

Hands on experience about technical aspects of acting, shooting, dialogue delivery etc.

Knowledge about the technical aspect, set up and broadcasting process involved in radio communication.

Imparting knowledge as well as tips about acting through different activities and presentations. Outcome: Students enjoyed the experience very much. They enjoyed different sessions, workshops, presentations. They got knowledge about what can be the various options available for them in the field of film making, radio jockeying and music production.

CARD MAKING COMPETITION

Date & venue An Intra class card making competition was organized on 1st November 2018 in Pre Primary wing on the theme ‘Diwali’. The children participated keenly and made beautiful cards by the dint of their creativity.

Agenda

The competition aimed at exploring and encouraging creativity in children and giving them a platform to showcase their skill.

Highlights:

The student made cards by decorating it with various materials such as stickers, bindis, ribbon, glitter, craft paper etc. The cards they made showed their love and gratitude towards the people they want to thank. A mixture of remarkable creativity and imagination was displayed by children enthusiastically.

Analysis It was wonderful to watch the zealous students giving expression to their thought. Each of the cards made by the children was a treat to the eyes. All the students were seen much enthusiastic.

SCHOOL TRIP E.O.D ADVENTURE PARK

Date : 02.11.2018

Classes participated : Pre- Nur. to II

Venue : E.O.D Park, Mayur Vihar, Delhi

Objective To help the students to drain their stress. To make the students able to use their ability to remove the obstacles. To familiarize about different adventurous activities. To motivate them to learn to overcome the fear.

Highlights

Students seemed very excited for the trip. Students performed the adventurous activities very enthusiastically. Students of all sections from Pre. - Nur. to II performed really well. They enjoyed

themselves immensely while watching the magic show and at the dance floor. Welcome drink, lunch and complementary desert provided by E.O.D. were very

delicious. The staff members of E.O.D were very supportive and caring.

Analysis

Everybody was overjoyed and wished that this excursion would never come to an end.

8TH OPEN TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP OF BOYS & GIRLS

On 4th November, Taekwondo Championship under various age group & weight categories was

organised at Vanasthali Public School Sector 10, Ghaziabad.

Wherein our students performed brilliantly and 9 students brought laurels to school by bagging 2

gold, 1 Silver and 6 bronze medals. Following are the details of the winners.

“DIWALI CELEBRATION”

Date & venue : From darkness to the light that empowers us to commit ourselves to good deeds, that which brings us closer to divinity; lights illuminate every corner of India during Diwali and the scent of incense sticks hang in the air, mingled with the sounds of happiness, joy, togetherness and hope. A special Diwali celebration is conducted by the Pre Primary Wing of Vidya Bharati School on 5th November, 2018 to mark the festival.

AGENDA

Diwali is a festival of Lights. The objective of the celebration was to keep children connected to their culture and tradition and to aware them that the festival gets its name from the row(avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness. The story of King Rama's return to Ayodhya after he defeated Ravana by lighting rows of clay lamps.

Highlights:

The celebration of Diwali, 'The festival of lights' came alive at Vidya Bharati School, on the 5th of November when the whole Pre Primary Wing wore a festive look with Diyas and lanterns adorning the corridors with bright colours. The rangoli done by students added the perfect setting to the festivity. The song” Dum Dum Dum Diwali has come” brought out the essence of the festival -celebration of life and goodness. PPT has been shown about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitizing students to the ill-effects of crackers, they have been told that don’t burst them. The students showcased the spirit of Diwali through lit the Diyas and shared the sweets with their friends. The celebration concluded with Principal Madam giving away the message of a clean, peaceful and a bright Diwali.

Analysis

Students celebrated Diwali with pomp and show. They were happy to decorate their class and corridor. They thanked God for everything what they have in their life.

It was a fun filled day for them. Teacher wished the students for the coming festive season.

RAHGIRI - EK SATYAGRAHA (CLEANLINESS DRIVE)

Date : November 4,2018 Venue : Dubai Mall, Ghaziabad ConductedBy : RDC Ghaziabad AttendedBy : Various Schools and Colleges Organized By : RDC Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad Rahgiri– Ek Satyagraha was organized on 4th Nov 2018, in RDC Ghaziabad, under the able guidance and supervision of Ms. Ritu Maheshwari, District Magistrate, Ghaziabad to promote social integration, protect the environment and facilitate sustainable transport, a basic reason for its popularity being that it has been able to bring people of all casts, classes and religion together.

The event was very well received by the public who responded in overwhelming numbers with various schools and colleges participating in the event. The citizens engaged themselves in various recreational and leisure activities and were seen jogging, doing yoga, exercising walking etc. There were additional activities like Music and dance performances, Nukkad Natak, Skit and Collage making. The event was also supported by media coverage.

Around 33 students of Vidya Bharati School, Surya Nagar, including 8th and 9th class students participated in the

event.

The students indulged themselves in various activities viz: Collage making, Swachhta Prahri and Buniyadi Kadam. The students also made beautiful informative collage depicting the theme “Reduce your Carbon Footprints”,protect the environment which was very well appreciated by everyone. The programme was followed by prize distribution ceremony by Ms. Ritu Maheshwari, District Magistrate, Ghaziabad and the other dignitaries who had graced the occasion.

INTRA CLASS COMPETITIONS

Date & Venue : RESPECTIVE CLASSROOMS (5.11.18)

“True Diwali spirit means sharing our things with poor, who do not have means to celebrate

Diwali.”

To mark the festivity of the festival Diwali, an Intra class competition was organised for the

students of Grade I to V on November 5,2018.

The topics were: Class I : Intra class Diya decoration

Class II – III : Intra class Toran Making

Class IV - V : Intra class Gift wrapping and Thali decoration

Demonstrator & Presenter : The students of Grade I to V participated in this competition.

Agenda:

1. To develop festive spirit among students.

2. Participation with classmates can motivate and help students with their confidence.

3. To develop skills required for such competitions.

4. These sorts of competitions create a lot of energy and enthusiasm in a classroom.

5. Some of the benefits increased active involvement and less boredom.

6. Students learnt that real world is competitive.

Highlights:

1. All the students were looking very excited and energetic.

2. Students brought diyas, toran, empty boxes, thalis and decorative material with them to

decorate.

3. Teachers also showed the spirit of Diwali and decorated the black board with the theme.

4. The happy and smiling faces of children spread the light of joy in the hearts of everyone.

Analysis:

The students participated with full fervour, interest, zeal and passion. They found the activity

interesting and enjoyed every minute of it. They learnt to paint, beautify and decorate their Diwali

Artefacts with full enthusiasm. The outcome was splendid and overwhelming. The students were

judged according to their creativity, colours cheme, neatness and presentation.

Sports bring new energy in the heart and mind of every child. Sports day helps in

discovering the inner talent of every child in the field of sports.

Sports and games help in large muscle co-ordination resulting in physical fitness apart from

inculcating sportsmanship, leadership, unity competitive spirit among the students.

Highlights:

Students were extremely excited for the sports day. Students were in competitive spirit.

They participated in various races and participated enthusiastically in each race.

Spectators encouraged their friends by cheering up for them.

Analysis:

Overall the event was a big success. Students enjoyed a lot themselves.

Winners were given certificates and honoured by our respected Principal ma’am.

100% participation was there which was indeed the best part of the day.

Capacity Building Program on Life Skills was held at Deep Memorial Public School, Ramprastha,

Ghaziabad on 14th November 2018.

Ms. Sanjaya Walia retired Principal of Stepping Stone School from C.B.S.E. conducted the

workshop cum interactive session.

Agenda:

• To understand the importance of Life Skills to enable the students to cope with the demands

of everyday life.

• To integrate Life Skills to build self-confidence, encourage critical thinking, foster

independence and help students to communicate more effectively.

• To focus on personal development is to promote confidence and well-being in young people

and adults.

• To use various activities as a part of regular teaching learning process to make our students

able to communicate with the outside world.

• Discussed the difference between life Skills, Livelihood Skills and Vocational Skills.

• Stressed upon the development of Life Skills in students to make them confident, so that

they can communicate with the outside world easily.

• Discussed the role of teachers as counsellors to deal with individual problems of students.

• Discussed the role of a teacher to inculcate the Morals and Values in our students.

vital component of Life Skill Education.
