View this route at: www.relive.cc/view/802033395 Starting in St. John’s Village, make your way behind the church to join La Rue de l’Eglise heading east. Turn right into La Rue des Clicquards. And join La Route du Mont Mado passing St. John’s Recreation Ground on your right. At the top of a small rise turn left into La Rue de la Mare des Pres (B63). This then turns right to head east once again. This road will take you across Jersey’s stunning north coast, passing the top of Bonne Nuit Bay. This area is one of the favourite stretches of road amongst local cyclists. Especially on a clear day with the views across to the other Channel Islands and France. Head towards Trinity Parish Church then down La Route de la Trinite (Trinity Hill/A8). You are now heading directly south, passing Howard Davis Farm and Trinity Parish School. After 0.8 of a mile you will turn right onto Rue Jacques and then immediately left into La Rue des Pelles. This is where you will link up with a series of lanes heading west, passing the Island Centre Stone towards La Rue de Mont Cochon (B27). Turn right and head north until you reach a T Junction. Turn left passing, Handois Manor and Reservoir. You will eventually reach St. John’s Manor. Turn left to head south until you get to Carrefour Selous. Take a tight right to carry on heading west. This stretch is perfect for a constant average speed through to St. Mary’s Village. You will head north through St. Marys until you reach La Mare Wine Estate where you will turn right into La Rue d’Olive, followed by the next left, heading north on La Rue de Maupertuis. This will lead you through the country lanes towards the north coast at Sorel. Look out for the descent and steep but short climb in the valley. It’s a leg burner! Once you reach Sorel you can ride the Ronez Loop which also becomes the Jersey Kart track a few times each month. Here you will get a feel for the high cliffs and secluded caves of the north coast. The perfect photo opportunity. Once back on the road carry on heading east along La Route do Nord towards St. John’s Village. You will head inland once you reach the St. John’s Millennium Cross. This will take you towards your starting point by St. John’s Church.
