It was a gi to us to be parked and made to be s!ll for a while. I want to publicly and personally thank all of our educa!onal leaders and teachers for considering the safety of our children first and foremost during these days. Our county, city, and private schools are blessed to have praying, careful, and though%ul leadership; some of these amongst the membership at First Bap!st. There will be some inconveniences in playing catch up, but that is a small price to pay to keep vehicles, drivers, and students out of the ditches. Likewise, here at the church it is always a difficult decision to cancel ac!vi!es. Not so much because we have to play catch up or anything like that. For me, I just like being together with the Family of God. When we cancel, I don’t get to do that. I cherish our !mes together as a body of believers. I am fueled, in part, by fellowship. Your faith and presence encourages me and helps me. So, today, I’m glad we are here together. I’m glad we get to catch up, but more importantly I’m glad we are able to meet to praise Jesus. He has been so good to us since we last met. Let’s take advantage of the day. Who knows when we’ll get to meet again. I love you all more than you know. Pastor Nick Dear Church Family, Today, we welcome our special guest speaker – Sheriff Clint Walker. He has been in law enforcement for over 22 years and was elected Sheriff of Carroll County, MS in 2015. I heard Sheriff Walker’s testimony this past fall at our Mississippi Baptist Convention. His life story and message will continue our theme – Overcoming Strongholds. I know you will prayerfully listen and hear Sheriff Walker gladly. Tonight, we continue Sundays@5 courses and Legacy worship. Make tonight a priority for your family. There is a place for every age. You will be blessed. We also kicked off our Upward Basketball season this past Saturday. This ministry impacts 100’s of lives and families throughout our community. Call our director – Bro. Paul Henning and find a place to serve on a Saturday through February. Our Wednesday night programs are in full swing for this semester – Family Meal, Missions for Kids, Rock Solid for youth, Mom Time, Mid-week Prayer Meeting and Worship Choir. I hope you will make this a part of your family’s weekly schedule. These programs are designed to keep you growing spiritually. You receive from a program what you invest in a program.
