“Therefore go and make disciples of all

nations, baptizing them in the name of the

Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

and teaching them to obey everything I have

“Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in

One ancient rabbi wrote this,

“Under the age of six we do not receive a

child as a pupil; from six upwards accept him

and stuff him with Torah like an Ox”.

The Jewish historian Josephus who lived

around the time of Jesus wrote this,

“Above all else, we pride ourselves on the

education of our children”.

Matthew Matthew 28:18-2028:18-20

As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he

saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a

net into the lake, for they were fishermen.

‘Come follow me’, said Jesus….When he had

gone a little farther, he saw James son of

Zebedee and his brother John in a boat,

preparing their nets. Without delay he called

to them, and they left their father Zebedee in

the boat with the hired men and followed him”

Deuteronomy 6:4-8 says,

“Hear O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is

one. Love the Lord God with all your heart and

with all your soul and with all your strength.

These commandments that I give you today

are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on

your children. Talk about them when you sit at

home and when you walk along the road,

when you lie down and when you get up.”

Acts 2:38,39,41, “ When the people heard

this, they were cut to the heart and said to

Peter and the other apostles, ‘Brothers, what

shall we do’? Peter replied, ‘Repent and be

baptized, every one of you, in the name of

Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins”…

Those who accepted his message were

baptized, and about three thousand were

added to their number that day”.

Matthew Matthew 28:18-2028:18-20

“And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he has commanded us” (1st John 3:23)

“Of all the commandments, which is the most important? ‘The most important one’, answered Jesus, ‘is this: Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God will all your heart and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment

greater than these” (Mark12:29-31).
