From the President…
FEBRUARY 2012 VOLUME 9, ISSUE 2
CAMPAIGN & PR
2012 is off to a fast start! We had a great January meeting and our Board traveled to Austin for a Leadership Training Day. Now, we are rearing to go! Or, should we just say Obama must go! The gatherings in Austin were loud with song and chants of “Obama must go” and we heard some great speakers that got everyone revved up. We have a lot of work to do before November. If you haven’t signed onto a committee yet, just email me or any Board member and we will assign you to a committee to get to work.

There are some fun “Trips Around the World” parties coming up, starting with February 11th at my home. Zan Thorp and Brooke Worthington are hosting these. Be sure and get in on that fun! A great amount of gratitude goes to our hard working Board members. They have spent numerous hours planning for this year. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Here’s to Republican success.

Representative Phil King
Most Parker County residents are well aware of Rep. King’s active participation in the governing of our great State of
Texas. To add more knowledge about him, please take a look at just some of the issues in which Phil is involved.
FIGHTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
Phil King understands the need for secure borders and supports efforts to provide more resources to crack down on illegal
immigration.
To ensure the integrity of our elections, Phil authored a bill which would require proof of citizenship before someone can
register to vote.
PROTECTING PROPERTY RIGHTS
Phil King worked to pass private property rights protections that ensure fair compensation for landowners and prevent un-
fair private land seizures.
REDUCING PROPERTY TAXES, PROTECTING TAXPAYERS
To protect homeowners from high annual increases in property taxes, Phil King supports lowering the amount the county
can increase appraisals on your home for tax purposes.
Phil King led the fight to help consumers by eliminating excess phone charges such as the TIF tax, which saved consumers
$600 million in a year.
IMPROVING ROADS AND TRANSPORTATION
Phil King passed a bill that helped our local communities secure more funding to repair damage to roads and bridges caused
by large truck traffic.
IMPROVING PUBLIC EDUCATION
A product of public schools, Phil King will continue to push for education reforms like ensuring that more money goes di-
rectly to the classroom, standards continue to rise, and children learn the basics.
DEFENDING OUR CONSERVATIVE VALUES OF FAITH AND FAMILY
Phil King has a perfect pro-life voting record and is the only candidate endorsed by Texas Right to Life. He has been recog-
nized by every major conservative pro-family organization in Texas for his leadership in supporting religious freedoms,
protecting the unborn, and defending traditional marriage.
