Celebrations:

Over the last month Cardiff High has had reason to sing its praises.

Thanks must go out to our Aboriginal community for their efforts in supporting the school on Sorry Day. Awonderful experience celebrated by all, resulting in raising awareness and funds to contribute towards theIndigenous Literacy Foundation.

Excellence on the sporting field has led to Brooke Fennings, Celeste Alley, Wayne Wyborn and Bernice deJager being selected for high representative honours.

We have presented a quality opportunity to Year 10 parents and students to support and provide fullinformation for their subject selection 2014. These preliminary choices will be needed so that subject linescan be formed and forward planning can be carried out.

Our Athletics carnival was run and won providing students with opportunities to exhibit skills and besupportive in a social environment. We must acknowledge the much appreciated support of Cardiff LittleAthletics Club for the use of their grounds and equipment.

Lastly, our Year 11 and 12 students will have the opportunity to liaise with young Newcastle Universitystudents over the next couple of weeks as the Friends on Campus initiative comes to school. Students willget goal setting and study skills information as well as learning about campus life and expectations.
