Classic ShieldCongratulations to our Rugby League team on the awesome game played yesterday at the State Finals.
Wamberal PS defeated Tregear PS 28-16. We are proud of your results, but also the excellent
sportsmanship you displayed representing Wamberal Public School. There was a buzz of excitement
back at Wambi yesterday with many students watching the game via a live-stream link.
Keeping our children safeOur school prioritises the wellbeing of all students to ensure a safe learning environment at all times.
To minimise disruptions to student learning and routines during school hours, parents and visitors
entering our school site are requested to proceed directly to the school oce upon arrival. Where
approval is granted for access within the school during the day, a pass will be issued and needs to be
worn at all times whilst on the site. The pass is valid on the day of issue for the stated purpose only.

PBLThis week, we are focusing on being safe, respectful learners when going home. Teachers will be
rewarding students with SRLs for demonstrating safe, respectful learner behaviour throughout the
week.
Promoting Positive AttendanceOur school understands that student achievement starts with attendance. Regular attendance is
essential for students to maximise learning opportunities provided to them at school. Attendance is a
shared responsibility between the school and parents and carers.
We are committed to providing a safe, respectful learning environment that encourages positive
attendance and recognises outstanding student attendance. We aim to use early intervention strategies
and communication with parents and carers to assist those students whose attendance is aecting their
educational goals.
Students who consistently demonstrate excellent attendance are recognised by:
awarding of 5 SRL tokens for 100% attendance each term;
awarding of certicates of achievement for 100% attendance each semester;
awarding of the Principal Certicate of Achievement for 100% attendance for the year.
Father's DayWe hope you had an enjoyable Father’s Day. It was wonderful to see so many dads and important people
in our students’ lives last Thursday at our Father’s Day Breakfast.
Wambi Warrior RunThe Wambi Warrior Run is on tomorrow – Thursday 5th September 2019 on the school’s bottom oval.

Thank you to the volunteers who gave their time at the Fathers' Day barbecue last week and thank you
to Belle Property for their continued support. Thank you as well to those who helped with the Fathers'

students and parents. If you have a little (or a lot) of time available please return the completed form
ASAP. If you do not receive a form and wish to help, please email [email protected].
