Year 12 StudentsFor our Year 12 student’s exam time is looming with only a few weeks in Term 4 before the start of VCAA exams for students undertaking VCE. I encourage our Year 12 students to be focused and give their utmost effort in these next weeks to ensure that they can finish their Year 12 with ‘no regrets’. Please see VCAA exam timetable within this newsletter.
Year 11 Formal Our Year 11 student committee has been working hard on preparations for the Year 11 Formal to be held in the College Hall on Thursday 17th September.
Student Leaders Receive Blazers It was exciting for our students leaders to receive their Blazers last week. Congratulations!
Wearing of Correct Uniform I wish to congratulate the majority of students who have been wearing their winter uni-form with pride. A reminder that winter uniform (with tie) is compulsory during Term 2 and 3. For students who choose not to wear a tie in Term 4, they must wear the open neck shirt with emblem. If a student does not have this open neck shirt they are required to wear the tie.

Year 9 Health DayYear 9 Health day went well, with positive feedback from Year 9’s. The presenters were very impressed with our students, they got involved in sessions and their positive manner and behaviour made the sessions very worthwhile.

2016 PlanningThe end of the year is rapidly approaching and it is an important time for the school, parents and students to plan for 2016.
NOTEBOOK COMPUTERSAt Noble Park Secondary College we aim for every student to have access to a notebook computer to aid them in their learning. The College has access to a range of online resources and students having a device with them all the time is indispensable to getting the best educational opportunities. We are currently planning our roll-out for next year and families need to consider the best ways in which they can access a device for their children. The school strongly recommends that all students access our LEASE PROGRAM to gain a cost-effective, and up to date device with extensive software and warranty. The following arrangements have been put in place for next year.
Recommended Arrangements for 2016Year 7: Keep LEASE NETBOOKYear 8: Keep LEASE NETBOOKYear 9: Keep LEASE NETBOOKYear 10: START NEW LEASE NETBOOK OR BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE (BYOD)Year 11: START NEW LEASE NETBOOK OR BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE (BYOD)Year 12: BYOD, LOAN OLD DEVICE, BUY-OUT NEW DEVICE
All costs and information regarding these options will be circulated early next term along with fee-sheets, booklists, sub-ject confirmation information and everything else needed for 2016. Students who were new to the school during the year and not able to order a device this year, should be able to organise for a lease from 2016 onwards.
