From the Principal’s Desk
Happy Holidays As we prepare for the end of Term 2, I'd like to thank you for your work over what has been a busy and rewarding few months. We've made great progress this term reinforcing the collaborative strength of our school community with a focus on teaching and learning. Our work on developing a shared vision for Balwyn North Primary School has been a highlight for our school and we look forward to continuing to enact this into the future. We trust that everyone will have a happy and safe break over the next two weeks and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday 11th July, ready for what promises to be a busy and exciting Term 3! Second Hand Uniform Shop A big thank you to Janet Wheeler and Kathleen Black who organised our second hand uniform shop this week. This was once again well supported by our community and we thank the volunteers for all of their contributions to our school. Please make sure that you come and do a final check of the lost property items in Sick Bay this week prior to the holidays. 2017 Enrolments We are planning grade numbers and staffing for next year. Our 2017 Foundation classes are filling fast and we therefore request any BNPS families that have a younger sibling starting Foundation in 2017, to complete an enrolment form by the end of Term 2. China Sister School Visit Our Sister School have confirmed that they will be arriving at Balwyn North Primary School on Friday 5th August and will depart on Thursday 11th August. We are still looking for two families who can each host a male student from China. We are also seeking interested families to host a visiting teacher. Please contact Helen Zannis on [email protected] if you are interested or would like some more information. A contribution of $200 per student/teacher will be available to host families to go towards covering the cost of hosting. Last Day of Term A friendly reminder that tomorrow, Friday the 24th of June, is the last day of term. This means that school will finish at 2:30pm. Please ensure that you can make appropriate arrangements for this early finish. Erika Bienert Tony Stokes Principal Assistant Principal
