Highlights (1) Regional Assessment - SEA PLM
Vision: Contribute towards improving and redefining learning outcomes by providing culturally appropriate metrics, and more equitable and meaningful education for all children across the region.
Key Characteristics: • Regionally contextualized learning assessment for Primary Grade 5 • Based on the curriculum review of all SEAMEO member states • Common metrics in 4 areas: reading, math, writing, global citizenship • Gather background information from parents, teacher, head teachers • To be repeated every 4 years to monitor the performance trends
Objectives: • Improve the quality of education and learning in the region • Provide key data and analysis to inform policies and actions • Strengthen capacities of key staff and experts • Promote collaboration, sharing and exchange among the member states

Highlights (2) Education 2030 + TWG
Objectives: • Support alignment to and implementation of SDG 4 and related SDGs • Ensure regional inputs to global normative and analytical work; • Support regional inter-governmental led initiatives (SEAMEO, ASEAN) • Enhance alignment across the SDGs and across the UN system
Key Functions: • Develop regional analyses and knowledge products • Information sharing and regional co-ordination • Organise regional events and technical meetings - launch of global reports,
e.g. UNESCO GEMR and major conferences (Asia-Pacific Meeting on Education 2030 - APMED2030)
Organisation: • Co-chaired by UNESCO and UNICEF • Members include: ILO, IOM, UNDP, ESCAP, WHO, ADB, World Bank, SEAMEO,
ASEAN, ASPBEA, Plan International, Education International, Action Aid, ATD Fourth World and SIL International
