1. This is my front cover picture, I enlarged the pictureto make the main person become the biggest focuspoint on the front cover. This image is without itbeing enhanced using levels and photoshop

I used the patch tool to cover up a grill thatwas in the background which distracted fromthe main image.I enhanced the colour of her hair by using thelasso tool and then making the red in herhair brighter.I also used levels to give the image moredepth and make it look more interesting. 3. I then added my Masthead Note, I got thefont off a website called 1001 free fonts.Using this was useful because it meant that Icould choose a more interesting font. Ichanged the colour and size of it to create aconstant colour scheme throughout, to do thisI used bevel, emboss, stoke, colouroverlay, gradient overlay and drop shadow onPhotoshop. 4. I then added my main cover line WORLDEXCLUSIVE WITH ABBIE FIELD, I changed thecolour of it so that it fitted in with the colour of what Iproposed my masthead to be I used various tools tomake the effect that the writing has these were; Stroke this adds an outline to the words so that it stands out from the image. Inner shadow this gives the effect that the words are coming out of the page.To make the name stand out because she is the mainfeature of my magazine I used stroke and innershadow. 5. After adding my main cover line I added a sell line,this is in the middle of the left hand side, its purpleand outlined with black (done using the stroke tool),which makes it stand out.The artists listed are the artists that people wanted tosee featured in the magazine from my targetaudience.I have also added a competition to win tickets to seeBen Howard live, thus drawing the reader into buyingthe magazine. 6. To make my magazine look more professional and sothat if it was to be put in shops I have added a barcode in the bottom right hand corner, the price of themagazine which is 2 and the date so that customerscan be sure that they are buying the latest issues.This is the final look of my front cover.
