PROBLEM• Insufficient housing: Over 1,000
neighbours on waiting list (Waiting period: 7 years)• Inadequate support: Lack of
community housing and support for persons with mental health challenges increases pressure on hospitals already facing bed shortages and gridlock. Individuals who can access hospital do not get comprehensive supports.
FCMHAS has supports but no housing units.
IMPACTIn the past year: Provided support to 3,000 individuals Responded to over 11,000 calls on crisis line Assisted 1,500 families in Family Resource

support services to persons facing mental illness and addictions.
Team: 180 member team including psychiatrists, social workers and counselors providing a continuum of services – employment, court support, community support, addictions counseling, crisis services, and residential support.
Assets: 14 residential holdings with 165 units ranging from detached houses to apartments.
