The Last Games

Hitman: Absolution is a stealth game being developed by IO Interactive and will be published by Square Enix. It is the upcoming fth entry in the Hitman game series. The game will run on IO Interactive's proprietary Glacier 2 game engine, fusing classic Hitman game mechanics with brand new gameplay features.

Though plans to continue the Hitman franchise were rst announced in 2007, it was not until May 2009 that Eidos conrmed the game was in development. Certain plot details for the game were rumored in 2009, stating that the game's story would lead Agent 47 to a low point from which he would have to rebuild himself. On 20 April 2011, Square Enix led the trademark for the name Hitman: Absolution in Europe, leading sites to speculate that it would be the name of the fth Hitman game. On 6 May 2011, a teaser trailer was released, conrming the title: Hitman Absolution. The trailer briey showed Agent 47 attaching a suppressor and a rattle snake coiled around his signature Silverballer pistol.[3] It has been reported the game will be "familiar and yet signi-cantly dierent experience from other Hitman games." On October 9/2011, a full gameplay trailer entitled "Run for Your Life" was released.

Initially, the title of a Ghost Recon release was revealed to be Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Predator by an OFLC release. However in December 2009, "Ghost Recon: Future Soldier" was trademarked by Ubisoft, raising speculation that this could be the name for the upcoming Ghost Recon 4. This was subse-quently conrmed by an ocial announcement. The release of Future Soldier was initially targeted for the 2009–2010 scal year; publication was delayed to the 2010–2011 scal year, and then to the "March quarter of 2011" in May 2010, and then to the April 2011 – March 2012 scal period. The PC version was ocially declared as cancelled in December 2011 and replaced by Ghost Recon Online, citing piracy as the main reason. However, on January 10, 2012, the PC version was ocially reannounced as being in development along with its console counterparts.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

The game rst appeared in 1993 on the Commodore Amiga and PC and was subsequently ported across to a wide variety of other formats. The DOS version was unique in that it did not use 320x240 256 color mode, rather a higher resolution mode with only 16 colors. The higher resolution permitted ner detail in the graphics and allowed for the illusion that more than 16 colors were used by means of dithering. Similar graphics and same levels design were used in Macintosh, Atari Jaguar and Acorn RiscPC ports.A separate version was made for the simpler, 16-bit consoles, as the hardware couldn't support the complexity of the original game. It contained completely new level design and dierent graphics, and was released for Sega Mega Drive and SNES. In January 2012, Syndicate was re-released in a version also for newer Windows systems.

Syndicate

The idea for the game came about during the development of Lost Planet 2. The May 2011 edition of the Ocial Xbox Magazine, released on April 5, shows an image of an individual in a gas mask along the Umbrella, Inc. logo on the issue's cover. On November 1, 2010 Kotaku reported on a rumor that Slant Six Games, developer of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation, was developing Resident Evil: Raccoon City. On its website, Slant Six Games wrote that it was currently developing "an amazing new project" that was unannounced, which was developed in conjunction with a "new publishing partner on a world class franchise."In March 2011, Masachika Kawata estimated the game to be 45% complete. According to Kawata, there are discussions on introducing new "bio-organic weapon" enemy creatures into the game.

The game was rst teased before the Spike Video Game Awards on November 29, 2011, with a billboard in Times Square mentioning "a PS3 exclusive you won't believe".[6] Initial trailers showed an apocalyptic event, including riots, epidemic, quarantine, and violence, as well as a clip of the BBC's Planet Earth showing an ant infected with Cordyceps unilateralis, a dangerous parasitic fungus that usually kills insects such as ants. On December 9, players of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception spotted an in-game reference to the aforementioned trailer with the newspaper head-line "scientists are still struggling to understand deadly fungus"At the Spike Video Game Awards, Sony ocially unveiled the game, a brand new IP from Naughty Dog, created by an 80-strong Naughty Dog team no-one knew existed. A gameplay trailer, made up of in-engine footage, showed a man and a teenage girl fending o other survivors, and what appeared to be people with unusual fungal growth, before running out into a dilapidated city covered in greenery, remi-niscent of the lm I Am Legend.

Shortly after the unveiling, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells posted on the PlayStation Blog new The Last of Us details:“The Last of Us is a genre-dening experience that blends survival and action elements to tell a character driven tale about a modern plague decimating man-kind. Nature encroaches upon civilization, forcing remaining survivors to kill for food, weapons and whatever they can nd. Joel, a ruthless survivor, and Ellie, a brave young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years, must work together to survive their journey across what remains of the United States. The announcement conrmed that the new project is being headed by studio game director Bruce Straley. Former lead designer on Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, Mark Richard Davies, has been working at Naughty Dog on the game.[After Uncharted 2: Among Thieves shipped in 2009, some of the development team from the game formed the team for The Last of Us, while the remainder worked on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

THELASTOF US

Page 9: Frostbite

ConceptThe concept for The Last of Us arose after watching BBC nature documentary Planet Earth, which showed the cordyceps fungus infected ants, resulting in taking over its brain and producing growths from its head; the idea that the fungus could infect humans became the initial idea for the game. Major artistic inspirations included the movies No Country for Old Men and The Road, comic The Walking Dead and the historical novel City of Thieves. While the fungus epidemic is the main backdrop of the game, The Last of Us is not a "zombie game", but "a love story about a father-daughter-like relationship", inuenced in part by the sequence between Nathan Drake and Tenzin, his Tibetan guide, in Uncharted 2. Joel is a survivor and anti-hero, and Ellie is a 14 year-old girl with no experience of the world pre-apocalypse.The composer for the game will be Gustavo Santaolalla. The team wanted to focus on emotion with the soundtrack, rather than horror.

On release of the initial trailer for the game Dead Island, the team was concerned that the two games would be largely similar, both exploring the human or emotional side to an apocalyptic event. However, on release of the aforementioned game, the team realised that the gameplay did not match up to that showed by the trailer; by contrast, lead designer Neil Druckmann feels that the trailer for The Last of Us is "very representative of what we're going for".[5] Druckmann also stated that he wants the story in The Last of Us to raise the bar for other video game devel-opers, as he feels the standard of story-telling is not as good as it should be within the industry. The Last of Us marks the rst time that Naughty Dog has become a two-team studio. It is also the rst time the studio has introduced a second new IP in the same hardware generation.

Trends in new technologies that are implemented in game studios

¿ ARE WE READY FOR USE THEM?

Many of the fans are pending that graphics engine competition is better in the games and

which is presented by the best realism

The most famous

Explain, what is the appropriate concept for dening a graphics engine? and three of the most important.

A game engine is a system designed for the creation and development of video games. The leading game engines provide a software framework that developers use to create games for video game consoles and personal computers. The core functionality typically provided by a game engine includes a render-ing engine (“renderer”)

for 2D or 3D graphics, a physics engine or colli-sion detection (and collision response), sound, scripting, animation, articial intelligence, networking, streaming, memory management, threading, localization support, and a scene graph. The process of game development is often economized, in large part, by reusing/adapting the same game engine to create dierent games.

GRAPHICS ENGINE WAR:

13

is one of the most inuential compa-nies in the market for sony

Without a doubt the graphical marvel of E3 2009, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves shows just how much potential there is in the PlayStation 3 when the game engine is done right. The Naughty Dog engine – named after the developer behind not only Uncharted, but also the Jak & Daxter series – was developed specically for the PS3 and provided some spectacular results in the 2007 release Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Stunning animations and character models, spectacular lighting and sound, rich colour palettes and Hollywood-like cutscenes were its calling card.

For Uncharted: Among Thieves the developer has put two years of hard work into creating the Naughty Dog 2.0 engine, and the results are noth-ing short of sublime. Crisp environments lled with countless dynamic objects with independent phys-ics, smoother and more diverse environment-animation interaction, astounding improvements to lighting and A.I., seamless transitions between engine-driven cinematics and gameplay, as well as full support for co-op and competitive multiplayer. Nothing short of a beast!

this system was also renovated to the latest installment of the saga uncharted 3 that has had more work, more details, dedication, and above all and love for what the team late last year obtained in the VGA (video game Adwards) the prize for best PS3 game console and better graphics for all platforms.

On March 11, 2009, Crytek announced that it would intro-duce CryENGINE 3 at the 2009 Game Developers Conference, held from March 25 to March 27. The new engine was being devel-oped for use on Microsoft Win-dows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. As for the PC platform, the engine is said to support develop-ment in DirectX 9, 10, and 11.[5][6] As of June 1, 2009, it was announced that Crysis 2 would be developed by Crytek on their brand new engine.[7]CryENGINE 3 was released on October 14, 2009.[8]On March 1, 2010, a new tech demo of the engine was released for the i3D 2010 symposium, which demonstrates 'Cascaded Light Propagation Volumes for Real Time Indirect Illumination'.[9] On June 11, 2011, the Australian Defence Force revealed that Navy personnel would train on a virtual landing helicopter dock ship made using the CryENGINE 3 software.[10] As of July 1st, the Mod SDK version of CryENGINE 3 specically to create custom maps, mods and content for Crysis 2 is available on Crytek's website. Crytek also released a free-to-use version of the CryENGINE for non-commercial game development. It was released as of 17th August 2011 under the name CryENGINE 3 SDK.[11][12]Crytek announced on September 9, 2011 that they would be using CryENGINE 3 to bring the original Crysis to consoles.[13] It was released for Xbox Live and Play-Station Network on October 4.

CRYENGINE 3 IS A REVO-LUTION YOU HAVE TO TRY

As Seen In: Far Cry, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Crysis 2, Aion: Tower of Eter-nity

It didn't take long for the German developer Crytek to make a name for itself. The developer's 2004 debut game, Far Cry, was nothing short of a revelation. While the world had waited expectedly for Half-life 2, Doom 3 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. to usher in a new generation of PC gaming, Crytek beat them all to the punch with a stunning, tropical set FPS game pow-ered by its own brilliant CryENGINE. Three years later it did it again, when Crysis – running on CryENGINE 2 – set a new standard for gaming visuals. For its next outing, Crysis 2, Crytek is bringing the middleware to consoles with the new CryENGINE 3.

RAGE Engine

As Seen In: Rockstar Presents Table Tennis, GTA IV + Episodes, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire (rumoured)

GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas and Bully, for all their awesomeness, did not run o publisher Rockstar's own tech, but were instead facilitated by Criterion's Renderware engine. Yet it was the less commercial Red Dead Revolver that made up the publisher's mind to pursue its own middle-ware solution for the next generation. With dreams of a grand sequel that no available engine could facilitate, Rockstar San Diego began work on RAGE (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine) in 2004 with a view to Red Dead Redemption. And according to our conversations with the devel-oper, the three games already released this gen-eration using RAGE were all warming-up to this epic 2010 release.

AGE's strengths are many. Its ability to handle large streaming worlds, complex A.I. arrange-ments, weather eects, fast network code and a multitude of gameplay styles will be obvious to anyone who has played GTA IV. It's also incredibly welcoming of partner middleware.

Euphoria from NaturalMotion, a dynamic animation engine, bonded with RAGE like they'd been split at birth (a feat LucasArts were unable to achieve with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed), as did the Bullet physics engine from Erwin Coumans. And it is still so young: accurate physics, ecosystem A.I. and improved draw distance are just some of the improvements we'll see in RAGE over the coming months.

ultimate game created for this company

Red Dead Redemption is an open world action-adventure Western video game, developed by Rock-star San Diego and published by Rockstar Games. It was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 18, 2010. It is a spiritual successor to 2004's Red Dead Revolver.[8] Most of the game's story takes place in the year 1911, during the decline of the American Old West. The game follows John Marston, a former outlaw, while he sets out to hunt down his former gang members. Marston's wife and son are taken hostage by the government in ransom for his services as a bounty hunter. Having no other choice, he sets out to bring his three former gang members to justice.

Legends Video Games

The Legend of Zelda or simply Zelda, is a high fantasy action-adventure video game series created by Japa-nese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. It is developed and published by Nintendo, with some portable installments outsourced to Flagship/Capcom, Vanpool, and Grezzo. Considered one of Nintendo's most important franchises, its gameplay consists of a mixture of action, adventure, and puzzle solving. The series centres primarily on Link, a playable character and the protagonist. Link is often given the task of rescuing Princess Zelda in the most common setting of the series, Hyrule, from Ganon (also known as Ganondorf ), a Gerudo chief who is the primary antagonist of the series. However, other settings and antagonists have appeared throughout the games, with Vaati being a strong secondary antagonist during the lifespan of the Game Boy Advance. The story commonly involves a relic known as the Triforce, which is a set of three omnipotent golden triangles. The protagonist in each game is usually not the same incarnation of Link, but a few exceptions do exist.

Striking Stories

Prototype 2 is an upcoming video game set for release on April 24, 2012 in North America and April 27, 2012 in Europe. It is currently under development by Canadian developer Radical Entertainment and is the sequel to 2009's Prototype. The game will be published by Radical Entertainment's owner, Activision. The game will feature a new protagonist, James Heller, as he goes on a quest to destroy the Blacklight virus. The story is also one of revenge, as Heller wants to kill Mercer after his family was killed in the outbreak of the Blacklight virus. The game is set in an open world shown from a third-person view perspec-tive. The game was announced at the 2010 Spike VGA Awards with the tagline "Murder your Maker."

Development of the game started soon after the success of the rst game and has been in develop-ment for three years. The game was rst shown at the Spike 2010 VGA Awards in December.[16] The game was revealed to be the main focus of the April, 2011 EGM Issue. It was displayed in EGM and EGMI in 2011 revealing many new details about the game's plot, characters and gameplay.[17] The game's graphics have been completely updated with buildings being much more detailed and deformation of vehicles, mutants and humans being much more visual. It was also revealed that players would be able to use humans as bombs to destroy other enemies with so that destruction in the game would be much more fun.[18] The game was also partially written by Dan Jolley. In June 2011, it was conrmed that Prototype 2 will not have online multiplayer. They had stated that while it was a fun concept in third-person action games, in the end it was just not necessary to make it a better game. Ken Rossman, however, stated that Prototype 2 will have downloadable content.

Reports in NYZ have stated that Alex Mercer (voiced by Shaun Paul Piccinino) has been coming out more frequently and that he is suspected to be the cause of all the deaths. Getting a phone call from his family, Sergeant James Heller (voiced by Cornell Womack) learns of his wife's fear of Blackwatch and reassures her that they are experts and for them to not fret as he will be home the next day from his tour in Afghanistan and Iraq.Heller returns to NYZ to nd Blackwatch burning the bodies of his family, amongst others. He blames Alex Mercer for their deaths as Mercer released the virus while eeing from Blackwatch as they attempted to apprehend him. Wanting to be with his family, Heller joins the military again to ght the virus, hoping to be killed in battle.Heller participates in the most dangerous missions and out of his rage, he always comes out alive. Due to his frequent success, he learns classied informa-tion. He learns that Blackwatch was created to protect the United States during the Cold War from nuclear and biological warfare. In 1963, their scien-tists created the Blacklight virus which infected and destroyed the town of Hope, Idaho. Elite soldiers were then sent to Hope to destroy the virus. They found one survivor, Elizabeth Greene, an incubator of the virus, who was codenamed Mother. Black-watch, along with Gentek, the creators of the virus, decided to contain the virus and went to war in Hope. In 2008, however, Alex Mercer, a Gentek scien-tist, stole a vial of the Blacklight virus, became infected and gained shapeshifting powers. He then accidentally freed Elizabeth Greene, killed her and destroyed a nuclear missile designed to destroy Manhattan. Mercer was believed dead.On one mission, Heller is mortally wounded. He is saved by Alex Mercer, who infects him with his mutated version of the Blacklight virus, as Mercer has developed an interest in Heller. This enrages Heller even more. Taking advantage of his new powers, Heller decides to destroy the Blacklight virus, as he believes it killed his family. To do this, Heller taps in to the Blacknet system to decide where and how to strike. The Heller vs. Mercer revenge story is the game's A-plot and there is to be a more complex and multi-threaded B-plot.New elite soldiers are then given the same brieng Heller was given, with an additional target, Heller himself. Blackwatch declares Heller their new main priority and do not care if he is allied with Black-watch or Mercer, but they want him contained.

For example, through a grant from the National Institutes of Health, Red Hill Games and the School of Nursing at the University of California San Francisco are using Wii technology to create games that help people with Parkinson's improve your balance .

A game called "Runner" requires patients to stand and sit to operate an old railway car manual. "Most of these patients is 70 or 80 years and really love these games," said Bob Hone, creative director of Red Hill Studios.

ninentedo why the Wii has been a very good help these men of great age strengthening them bones, muscles, joints and other simply by turning on the console to take control and make minutes of yoga, breathing for a healthy and bring the body has a state of peace and quiet or if you want the same TAMN wii game with another kind of help you know how old you or tell you that you can consume balanced meal.

The Kinect Of Xbox 360 For Surgeries

We all know the wonderful things you can do with Microsoft Kinect, but this is one of the most curious that we see in a while, since this use has been given to this device is not a game.

Apparently, it is now possible to perform surgeries with robots assisted by a human, with the Kinect, all thanks to the spirit of research students at the University of Washington, who hacked the creation of Microsoft to be able to apply to surgeries.

One of the most dicult problems to solve for these students was to supplant the sense of "touch the tool" as they do today with a joystick. To avoid serious problems as something that should not be cut, the tool created a kind of "force eld", ie you can dene the work area, if your pulse or uninten-tionally you go over that limit, the tool robot simply will not advance, which would only be a matter of practice the surgeon enough.

Something tells me that when the Kinect have ocial support for PCs, we see many more possi-bilities in applications for daily life incredible. Now, a question if I still hanging around, Is it safe to operate with a peripheral like Kinect? I think similar tool but more precise operations could be realized in this way.
