He sees his sword,leaps, and grabs it.Just then, Elsa peeks out the front doors.The Dukes two thugs see her.DUKES THUGThe Queen.The thugs charge up the stairs.FROZEN - J. Lee 88INT. ELSAS PALACE DAYThey guards burst through the ice doors.Elsa flees to the top floor of her palace. The guards pursue.They trap her on the top floor, raise their crossbows.ELSA(scared)No. Please.One of the thugs shoots an arrow right at Elsa. At the lastmoment she creates an ice wall. It stops the arrow, inchesfrom her face.The thugs reposition to take another shot.ELSA (CONTD)Stay away!Elsa shoots ice at the thugs. They duck out of the way andcontinue the attack.THUGGet her! Get her!Elsa fights for her life.BACK OUTSIDE: Hans is nearly crushed by Marshmallow. He rollsaway. Jumps to his feet. And with agile might, he slicesMarshmallows leg off with his sword. Marshmallow stumblesback, off balance. And falls off over the cliff, but notbefore striking Hans. Hans goes over the edge.REVEAL: Hans clings to the ice steps. His men help him up andthey rush into the ice palace.INT. ICE PALACE DAYElsa is surrounded. Its do or die. In two swift moves, Elsatraps one thug in a cage of spikes that threaten his neck.The other she pushes back with a wall of ice....up againstthe balcony doors...which BURST and CRACK.OUT ONTO THE BALCONY.... The balcony doors shatter. The thugis pushed to the edge. Hes inches away from falling to hisdeath.BACK INSIDE: Hans and his men run in. See the destruction andthe thugs near death.FROZEN - J. Lee 89HANSQueen Elsa! Dont be the monsterthey fear you are.Elsa snaps out of her rage. She sees the men, frightened,moments from death. She stops. Elsa looks to Hans,overwhelmed, frightened.The wall retreats from the thug on the balcony. The icespikes lower from the second thugs neck. He takes advantageand aims his crossbow at Elsas back.Seeing it. Hans runs and pushes the crossbow up just as thearrow releases. The arrow hits the ice chandelier, hangingdirectly above Elsa.The chandelier comes CRASHING DOWN.Elsa dives out of the way but she falls in the blast.All we see is ice smashing like glass, and all we hear is thesound of it shattering as it rings out.CUT TO BLACK.FADE IN ON:Elsas face as her eyes flutter open.She sits up. Shes surrounded by stone.INT. ARENDELLE, DUNGEON DAYElsa looks to the nearby window. Tries to rush to it.
