FTCh Shortthorn Tommy of Leadburn “Tommy” August 2001 British Field Trial Champion Shortthorn Tommy of Leadburn, “Tommy,” is the most qualified yellow British FTCh outside the United Kingdom. In fact, he is the only British Field Trial Champion yellow in North America. Tommy’s impressive record has led to three consecutive qualifications for

the prestigious British Retriever Championship. Only one yellow FTCh dog in the United Kingdom exceeds this record and that dog is Tommy’s sire, FTCh Dargdaffin Dynamo, who holds 4 Championship qualifications. Tommy’s confirmation is excellent with an attractive square head, broad chest, and muscular features making him a perfect stamp of a lab. His weight is 68 lbs. His speed and style in the field are extremely distinctive yet he has a most pleasurable, quiet disposition on the shoot or in the home. On both land and water retrieves, Tommy is quite fast but his pace does not exceed the capacity of his nose making him an excellent gamefinder of both waterfowl and upland birds.
