TRAINING DESCRIPTION
This workshop is designed to extend the Petroleum Refining Course, by focusing on the
topics of refinery blending.
The course reviews the fundamentals of refining blending and related subjects and
delegate will learn what affects refinery profitability, how products blending are
calculated and the trends in refining and product demand. This course also covers crude
oil and product specifications.
Who should attend?
This Class will directed to new refinery engineer and supervisors as well as operations
staff non-technical staff who wish to learn more about blinding skills
Training Methodology:
The programme will be conducted in a facilitative style with a combination of lecture,
practical experience in the use of techniques, case studies and a high level of lively debate
and sharing of ideas. Delegates will be encouraged to introduce problems of their own for
discussion and analysis. Copies of all lecture materials, case studies and workbooks will
be provided.
A highly interactive combination of lectures and discussion sessions will be managed to
maximize the amount and quality of information and knowledge transfer. The sessions
will start by raising the most relevant questions, and motivate everybody find the right
