STANDARD FEATURES OF 4H50TIC-O POWER UNIT: Through design engineering and innovation, high efficiency is achieved by using two valves per cylinder. While this concept reduces friction by eliminating redundant moving parts it also increases robustness and simplicity. Hatz achieves the long service life that the end user has come to expect through the use of premium components and materials. The 4H50TIC power unit is intended to provide a simple plug-and- play module for manufacturers of equipment such as generator sets, pumps, auxiliary power units, and other engine-driven equipment. The unit is supplied in an open configuration with the option for a weather protective enclosure. Compact power: Engine design, power to weight/cube, and superior engineering layout provides OEMs with a very compact fully self contained power source complete with radiator, controls, and all accessories. Conservative-innovative engine for a long service life: A groundbreaking downsizing approach was adopted in the development of the 4H50. The outcome is an extremely compact, turbocharged 2-litre engine that reaches a maximum power output of 74.2 hp, setting the benchmark in its performance class with its low weight. The engine fulfills the stringent exhaust emission limits in the EU and the USA without the use of a diesel particulate filter (DPF). Maintenance-friendly: Through design engineering, the 4H50 was developed with a single sided access for all standard maintenance. Additionally, the use of high capacity filters and hydraulic valve play compensation the maintenance intervals have been extended to 500 hours*. *Adjusted by environmental conditions. Fuel efficiency: Extraordinary high fuel efficiency is achieved by a combination of a design with fewer moving parts, for lower friction, and adoption of 2-valve technology in conjunction with roller tappets. The fuel consumption is 4.2 gal/hr at full load (74.2 hp). High fuel efficiency is achieved throughout all loads and speeds. BOSCH common rail system (CRS): A key factor for the high efficiency of the 4H50 is the Bosch 26,000 PSI CRS. It works with up to three precisely dosed injections per working cycle: pre-injection, main injection and post injection, and in conjunction with other ideally matched Bosch system components, a perfect balance between dynamics, quiet combustion, low emissions, and fuel economy is attained. Emission compliance: The 4H50 is 200 lbs lighter compared to its nearest competitor. This weight saving ensures a high power/weight ratio. Even though the engine meets all Tier 4 Final requirements, in emission- sensitive areas a DPF can be optionally fitted to meet the most stringent local ordinances. Mounted accessories: The fully enclosed power unit is fitted with a wide range of accessories including: Mounted radiator with puller style cooling fan (optional pushing fan) and poly vee belts Primary and secondary fuel filter with replaceable element Oil filler, dipstick, and drain plug Engine oil filter Crankcase breather filter Auxiliary power take-off points 12v starting system with starter motor and charger Engine control panel to work with J1939 CANbus DOC silencer with exhaust cap Air filter with replaceable element Full engine protection for temperature and oil pressure Warranty: All power units are supplied under the factory's standard warranty.
