Do it yourself bracket

This structure is very solid and reliable against corrugations. Nylock nuts are used everywhere.

Using existing two top brackets and one solid brace at the bottom left.

I only use 5 micron filter. I replace every 20,000km at least. Check the glass bowl time to time for water

accumulation which often found at outback fuel station. Mark the inlet and outlet before installation.

Many people swap the inlet and outlet accidently. Use fuel grade hose. I bought a square aluminium pipe

from Bunnings.

From a petrol station in outback after the refuelling.

This is the reason why I use an

extra filter at pump nozzle.

You don’t know what is

lurking inside of your fuel tank.

The scum looks like some sort

of glue fell out inside of the

petrol station tank. They

supposed to have their own

filter on the pump, but

obviously this one didn’t. I am

not suggesting all the outback

petrol stations are like this,

but some are careless.
