In PORTLAND on Monday I brought a study on the bookof JUDE using Bible Summary. Here is a copy of a sectiono f from verse 17 on :1.17 But you, dear friends, need to remember the warningsthat the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ already gave us.1.18 In this final age, they said, there will be peoplewho ridicule the fa i th and serve only their own lusts .These people cause sp l i t s in the church; Their minds arein the gutter , and they are controlled by their lowernatures. They don t have the Spir i t of God.1.20 So friends, keep building your lives on thefoundation of our faith which leads to wholesome l iving,and learn to pray in the presence and power of the HolySpirit . Live in the atmosphere of God s love, lookingforward to that great day when our Lord Jesus in hismercy will usher you into the realm of l ife everlasting.1.22 Some people are confused and uncertain which wayto go. Be kind to them, guide them, and encourage themin the right way.1.23 Others are losing their grip oh God, and sTTpl Thg~away from the fai th. J v e jus t returned from a t r ip to Macassar. Ibrought a message on Thessalonians, and had a time ofprayer with the family. S is te r J an tj ie s said , I wasso happy to see you tha t I even forgot my daughter hadpassed away. This is one of those precious moments thatmake being a missionary so worthwhile .

I have been called to speak a t Lentegeur this Lord'sDay and also to bring messages a t their camp over theEaster week-end. Alice Cloete, one of the members there,donated one of her kidneys to her brother, who recentlyunderwent a cri t ica l operation.

Lord will ing, Martha and I will be in the States duringAPRIL N M Y 1995. I have been asked to off ic ia te a t myyounger daughter's wedding in L.A., and we also plan tostop a t Las Vegas, Dallas, Minneapolis, Wisconsin, Chicagoand Miami visiting friends and churches in and aroundthose a r ea s more de t a i l s l a t e r .

I have been sick with Bronchitis th is week, and so havepostponed 4iiy-next -vis i t ta REENHAVEN unt44next-llednesday-when I hope. Lord willing, to bring messages from II PETERand the book of JUDE JUDE is a pivotal book in the Bible,because i t highlights what God s word has been telling usabout all along that there is a tremendous battle goingon between the forces of good and evil . Jude, following onfrom ROM NS 1 8 draws the clear l ines of demarcation, amdstresses our need to keep up the struggle. Then comesRevelation with the grand and thri l l ing climax GOO WILLTRIUMPH IN THE END i.'

ROCKLANDS in the sprawling township ofMitchell s Plain in Cape Town was the scene of a RevivalMeeting. The theme was the SERMON ON THE MOUNT, and i twas enthusiast ically received by all who came. We met ina school building close to the Indian Ocean. I spoke sometimes in Afrikaans, and sometimes in English because thepeople came from both lang uage groups.

OUR BIBLE STUDIES in PORTLAND con t i nu e on Monday evenings. Lastweek our message was on thesubject of COUNSELLING We are living in an age ofincreas ing tension and problems. Stress has ledmany people to the brink of despair. Christiancounselling is desperately needed to guide peoplethrough the dif f icu l t times in the i r l ives Wediscussed counse ll ing in regard to problems,salvat ion, sickness and death, and ended with aScripture reading from JAMES 5. At the end of themeeting we had a time of counselling and prayer.

MY HEALTH has no t been 100 o f l a t eThe infection in my lef t leg has been flaring up morefrequently recently. Fortunately I now know the symptoms,and I immediately take a dose of anti-biotics, Bradleyputs bricks under the foot of the bed to raise my leg,and Martha puts all the blankets in the house on me,so we re ready when the shivering starts We haveasked the brethren over here to pray for me. The doctorshere don t know what causes i t but the anti-biotics doalleviate the symptoms.
