We will be having our full day professional development on Tuesday, February 8, 2016. There will be no classes that day but the school will be open. Classes will resume on Wednesday, February 9, 2016. The Rai & Raina Competition will have the 2nd and 3rd counting as well as announce- ment of winners on the following dates: Feb. 5 (Friday): 2nd counng - 2:30-5:00 pm at the school library Feb. 19(Friday): 3rd and final counng – 2:30 - 6:00 pm at the school library February 23(Tuesday): Rai and Raina Corona- on/Chamorro Acvies (DATES subject to change) Thank you to all our parents for at- tending the 2nd quarter PTC and Awards Ceremony. If you were unable to meet with your child(ren)’s teacher, you can still make an appointment and learn about their progress. The Annual Read-A-Thon will be held from February 8th to the February 20th. Here are some dates to watch out for:February 9 -Teachers will distribute pledge cards to stu- dents. February 8-19, 2016—Students collect pledges and read, read, read! February 13-20, 2016-READ, READ,READ! Support Read-A-Thon 2016 Activities. Record Time spent reading on pledge cards. March 2—Last day to submit pledges and pledge cards for all participating students. If you have any questions, please see your child’s class- room teacher or the Read-A-Thon school representative, Mrs. Lorio. Congratulations to all our students who par- ticipated in the Spelling Bee this past month. It was a tough competition but in the end, Kaylene Hurtado came out on top. Jasmine Bustos We would like to thank CPO Patricia Crump, SN Charles Cicero, PO2 Taylor Mason, and PO1 Juan Mendez for supporting our students and assisting as judges for the competition. We recently had our PBIS (Positive Behavior Inter- ventions and Support) presentation conducted by Ms. O’Connor, our school guidance counselor. Students viewed appropriate behaviors in different school settings including the hallways, restrooms, and the school cafeteria.
