Averaging speeds of up to 186 m.p.h. (300 km/h), the 1,425-mile (2,293 km) route now takes eight hours to complete; previously, the  journey woul d take about 22 hou rs by train. (It will als o be making stops i n other cities en route, including Shijiazhuang , Zhengzho u, Wuhan and Changsha.) This is indeed a major breakthrough in technology for China. So are there any indication in the stars of this technology leap? We start here with the eclipse of 21 st May 2012 in Gemini – the sign that governs travel. Notice that the eclipse along with Mercury-Jupiter i s hard aspect to Pl uto on the descend ant of the chart. Pluto in tu rn is square – a combination that is a defining aspect of our times. Richard Tarnas notes, “With Pluto acting on Uranus, we can see what could be called the intensification on a massive scale (Pluto) of technology (Uranus) or the empowerme nt (Pluto) of revolutionary breakthro ughs (Uranus) and awakenings”. He gives as an example the tremendous scie ntific discovery and revol utions in science at turn of the Twentieth Cen tury when a Pluto-Uranus o pposition [18 96-1905] took place. “Epochal breakthroughs” in technology occurred, such as the discovery of radioactivity and the electron, the invention of the automobile, Zeppelin, and the airplane. The number of automobiles in America rose a thousand-fold from 25 in 1896 to 25,000 in 1905.

Full Moon launches China’s bullet train

 Auriga – The Charioteer

China launched services Wednesday [26 December] on the world’s longest high-speed rail route, linking the nation’s capital in Beijing all the way to the country’ssoutheastern hub of Guangzhou. Averaging speeds of up to 186 m.p.h. (300 km/h),the 1,425-mile (2,293 km) route now takes eight hours to complete; previously, the journey would take about 22 hours by train. (It will also be making stops in other cities en route, including Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Wuhan and Changsha.)

This is indeed a major breakthrough in technology for China. So are there anyindication in the stars of this technology leap? We start here with the eclipse of 21st

May 2012 in Gemini – the sign that governs travel. Notice that the eclipse along withMercury-Jupiter is hard aspect to Pluto on the descendant of the chart. Pluto in turn

is square – a combination that is a defining aspect of our times.

Richard Tarnas notes, “With Pluto acting on Uranus, we can see what could becalled the intensification on a massive scale (Pluto) of technology (Uranus) or theempowerment (Pluto) of revolutionary breakthroughs (Uranus) and awakenings”. Hegives as an example the tremendous scientific discovery and revolutions in scienceat turn of the Twentieth Century when a Pluto-Uranus opposition [1896-1905] tookplace. “Epochal breakthroughs” in technology occurred, such as the discovery of radioactivity and the electron, the invention of the automobile, Zeppelin, and theairplane. The number of automobiles in America rose a thousand-fold from 25 in1896 to 25,000 in 1905.

With this background we certainly can expect a technological breakthrough at

Beijing but in what area?. Perhaps if we look at the star Capella [22ge02] whichsquare the MC [21ge30] we will get some answers. Alpha (α) Auriga, Capella is astar associated with the Charioteer. From Manilius’ explanation we can see that thisstar is associated with fast moving vehicles!

“Again, when the bolts have been drawn and the horses have escaped from thestarting-pens, he will urge on the spirited steeds and, leaning forward, he will seemto precede them in their swift career; hardly touching the surface of the track with hislight wheels, he will outstrip the winds with his coursers' feet… By examples such asthese are you to mark the rising figure of the Charioteer". [Manilius, Astronomica, book 5, 1st century A.D., p. 305-309].

If we are right about our analysis then the progression of the chart to 26th December, the date of launch of sevices should show significant planets on the angles. And sureenough we see Pluto on the progressed Ascendant square Uranus – the signaturefor a technical breakthrough! And as is usual for major events like these there ismore than one indicator. The Full Moon of 28th December which forms a T-square toUranus-Pluto squares the meridian axis at Beijing.

P.S. We must never forget that Full Moons are culmination of seed ideas containedin the New Moon. The current New Moon was in Sagittarius about which Jeff Jawer wrote:

This conjunction of the Sun and Moon in optimistic Sagittarius inspires desire for adventure and a search for higher meaning. Eyes are on the future as we shoot our arrows of aspiration toward a better tomorrow. We may find a sense of purpose that helps us to overcome the tedium of petty tasks and the nagging doubts of daily life.Hope can be renewed by visions of travel , learning, teaching and belief in acause. Careful preparation and attention to practical details increase the chances of reaching our lofty goals.
