Clinical Psychologist 

Full‐Time position in Augusta, GA. 

Responsibilities 

The Associate Directorate for Human Resources, specifically Employee Assistance Service (EAS), is seeking one Clinical Psychologists. 

The selected individuals will perform the following: clinical assessments followed by brief therapy and/or referral to appropriate outside resources; time‐limited group therapy, attend clinical case review meetings, as well as completing various required administrative services. Clients include Agency employees, assignees and, when deemed appropriate, their respective spouses. In addition, the employee may be requested to provide continuing education workshops for OHESS clinical staff, as well as workshops and other programs for the general Agency workforce. 

 

Skills 

Administrative Services: 

The employee shall perform, but not be limited to, the following Clinical assessment of Agency Employees, assignees, and their spouses, to include: 

Reviewing intake data and other pertinent information, 

Conducting a clinical interview/assessment, 

Determining diagnosis based on DSM 5 criteria 

Documenting all case contacts in SOAP format within five working days, 

Developing a treatment plan 

Documentation of clinical assessment 

Brief therapy and /or referral to appropriate community resource, to include: 

Short term therapeutic intervention (10 or fewer sessions), 

When indicated, referral to outside mental health providers, support groups, social services, etc. 

Follow‐up with client and referral sources to ensure that needs are met 

Documentation of therapy and/or referral services 

Time‐limited group therapy to address issues such as depression, anxiety, and interpersonal relationships, and work related issues 

Attendance at clinical case review meetings with the other EAS psychologist 

Develop and conduct on mental health related topics for Agency employees. 

Participate in the EAS peer review program. 

 

Meet all requirements established by the OHESS Credentials Committee to obtain and maintain privileges to conduct psychological assessments. In order to complete a preliminary review of requirements for credentialing and privileging by the OHESS Credentials Committee, the employee shall furnish a completed National Practitioner Data Bank Information Sheet and Malpractice and Privileges 

Questionnaire. The selected individual(s) would subsequently have to provide the additional documents listed in Credentials and Privileging Checklist for Psychologists, plus the Acknowledgement of and Consent to Terms of Applicant for Clinical Privileges, and Authorization for Release of Information. 

 

All professional services will be provided either at the offices of the Employee Assistance Service or the NSA/CSS GA Campus. 

 

Qualifications 

Entry is with a doctoral degree and 2 years of experience. 

* Degree must be in clinical psychology or another discipline directly related to professional work in clinical psychology. 

* One year of experience must be in the area of clinical psychology (as opposed to other areas of psychology). 

* Experience can include internship experience. 

Valid current license to practice psychology in any state or territory. 

Education: 

Must possess a Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an institution accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).  Must have successfully completed an APA approved internship in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. 

Certificates: 

Valid current license to practice psychology in any state or US territory with no pending adverse actions (e.g. suspensions, letters of counseling, restrictions to practice only with supervision, revocations) before any licensing board or hospital credentials committee. The employee shall furnish a copy of all license(s) in good standing from the State Board(s) of Examiners of Psychologists from the state(s) in which the psychologist is licensed. 

1037Experience: 

Entry is with a doctoral degree and at least year’s prior experience. 

Security Clearance: 

Access to classified information is required to perform specified duties. Position requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. 

Completion of Nondisclosure Statement as well as maintain patient confidentiality is a requirement. 

 

  Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule 

   Salary is commensurate with education and experience. 

Salary Range:  $84,443 ‐ $129,723
