• The political function of a journalist is dealing with political events in the world. Doing this job will properly cover in detail the activities of government.

• Example: What’s going on with the government?...

• Basically this function of a journalist is just talking about the economic situations that goes on in the world. This function gives us information on product goods, advertising, business , agriculture, and industrial news.

• Example: What about the gas prices?....

• ARTICLE:• An example would be oil prices

declining while Hurricane Gustav weakened, but investors were still waiting to see how much damage the storm might do to Gulf Coast oil operations.

• All this function is talking about is the entertainment going on in the world. This function gives us featured stories, photos, and comics to entertain an audience made up of all ages.

• Example: The scoop on the latest entertainers?....

• ARTICLE:• Britney Spears hopes her

sons don't go into showbiz. Spears said she would like Sean Preston, two, and one-year-old Jayden James to choose careers away from the limelight.

• Journalist should reflect a record of local, national, and world news by using the record keeping function.

• Example: What happened to the price of oil?...

• The Agenda Setting function is letting us know what to think about and placing certain issues such as the need to protect the environment, before the public.

• ARTICLE:• Scientist have determined

that human activities is what is causing global. For example all of the factories we use, cars, and greenhouse houses. Over time, the level of atmospheric methane has risen by 151 percent, mostly from agricultural activities such as raising cattle and growing rice.

• Journalist will use the social function to get news from neighbors on a person-to-person basis and to pass along the news about their world in which people use today.

cases will increase over the next few years while in an economy that is a bit uncertain. Housing Predictor predicts more than 3 million foreclosures till around 2010. The foreclosure market increase is a bad situation.

• During this presentation I learned the different functions of a journalist can be really hard work but can give off good information. I hope that this project can help me achieve certain things in journalism.
