I used felt for making the Diaper / Nappy.

Hi there!

This Diaper / Nappy will fit ALL of the KawaiiKuties! The patterns for these are availableon the website.

I had such fun designing the felt dressand pants for the Kuties that I decidedto make some more clothes for them.

The Kuties make great baby toys, so Ithought it would be fun to dress them upto look like little babies themselves.

The Diaper / Nappy is so simple to makeand fun to decorate too! I got carriedaway and even made little felt motifs forthe baby bibs (a for Apple, b for Bee andc for Carrot!).

Trace the Diaper / Nappy PIECEonto the felt with a fabric pen orpermanent marker and cut it out.

* TIPI love using an air-erasable pen asit fades to nothing after a shortwhile!http://www.funkyfriendsfactory.com/products/supplies/fabric-marker-purple-air-erasable-pen

Cut a piece of velcro, open itso you have 2 pieces, 1 fluffy pieceand 1 with hooks.

* TIP:Cut off the corners as they can bequite sharp and scatchy

Pin one piece of the velcro (thefluffy piece) onto the front of oneof the sides.

Pin the other piece (with thehooks) to the back of the otherside. I have flapped over onethis side so you can see thevelcro pinned to the back!

Cut 2 more pieces of velcro, openthem so you have 4 pieces, 2 fluffypieces and 2 with hooks.

Pin the 2 pieces with hooks on tothe back of the DIAPER/NAPPYPIECE.

Sew these velcro pieces in position.(I sewed back and forth betweenthe 2 pieces to make my stitchinglook like a safety/diaper pin!)

Use 2 pins to work out where toplace the fluffy velcro bits on thesides of the diaper piece.

Use the fabric marker to markthe postion for the fluffy velcropieces and sew them over thesemarkings. Your nappy should fitperfectly!


The simplest way to fit yourdiaper/nappy on your baby Kutieis with a safety pin!

*TIPI use a safety pin if the toy is foran older child and sew on velcroif the toy if for a child under theage of 3 years old.

You can decorate youdiaper/nappy pin with a cutebutton to add some fun detailto your toy.
