Genre: Recipe

Funky Chicken Pizzas

Preparation:

Have an adult help you to -

Slice the bread into rounds approximately 1-2cm thick

Open tins and jars

Preheat oven to 1800C

Ingredients:

1 long French roll

1 jar of spaghetti sauce

1 cup of finely chopped chicken pieces

1 cup of crushed pineapple

1 cup of grated cheese

Equipment:

Baking tray

Tongs

Spoon

Method:

Place sliced bread on baking tray.

Spread tomato on bread.

In a bowl, mix chicken and pineapple.

Place a tablespoon of the chicken and pineapple mixture on the bread.

Sprinkle grated cheese on top of each mini pizza.

Place tray in oven for 15 minutes until cheese is melted.

Use the tongs to serve your yummy, hot pizzas and ENJOY!

You may wish to think of different toppings you could use next time. Here are

some suggestions:

sliced mushrooms, tomato pieces, shredded ham, chopped or mashed avocado,

grated carrot, sliced salami, different cheeses

Procedural Text: How to Make A Crown or Mask For A Funky Chicken

Play

Teachers: These Crowns and Masks are ideal for use in your assembly

presentation! Be sure to have children decorate the correct crown or

mask they will be using in the presentation.

Materials:

Sheet 1 and 2 (best copied onto card) - Mask or Crown template to

decorate, cut out and construct

Coloured pencils, crayons, markers or paint to decorate

Collage materials of your choice e.g. beads, colourful paper pieces,

pipe cleaners, foil, wool/string, glitter

Colourful feathers

PVA Glue, stapler or masking tape

Elastic, ribbon or string to secure mask

Procedure:

Colour the mask or crown in funky, bright colours.

Add collage materials for extra sparkle and funkiness.

Cut out the shapes.

Form the mask or crown into their shapes so that they fit your head or

face well.

Decorate with feathers by securing them onto your mask or crown.

Store your crown or mask in a safe place to dry until you are ready to

use it in your performance.
