BACKGROUND
I am a passionate and innovative Master Architect (Madrid, ETSAM) based in New York, interested in natural and sustainable design.
I would bring over five years in academic and international professional experience (Spain, United States, China and India).
LEED accredited and working as an architect designer, love design from small to large scale.
I’m focused on using environmental patterns (green patterns) as part of the whole process.
For each object I design, I strive to bring together all relevant cultural, economic, and thermodynamic inputs, in order to maintain a synergetic balance between the
object and its environment.

“BUCKLE CHAIR”, MAY 2011
Buckle process is a positive feedback loop in terms of sustainable process. The object wants to express the Cradle-to-Cradle idea as manifesto.
Based in the traditional Spanish wicker pattern, the chair is made with junco, a quick growing water reed found in areas such as western Spain.
These traditional wicker chair patterns have been crafted for a long time by local people. An acorn based composite is used to create a continuous frame nailed in
two parts. Junco + acorn wood + local manufactures link the furniture to its natural location.

“VORONOI TABLE”, June 2013
Voronoi diagrams are used to model a number of different biological structures, including cells and bone microarchitecture. Ground, leaves and natural biologi-
cal shapes are studied using mathematical approximations for their position. The table manifests this concept. Structure as voronoi system uses plastic material,
bounded by a glass box. The table tries to replicate different natural structures as a new artificial-natural object.

“SIX PACK CHAIR”, MAY 2014
Using a net based of plastic six-pack rings provides a lesson in the life cycle of plastics. Metal polished frame supports the plastic net, giving a recycled material
new usage. Elastic skin will be adapted to the user’s shape as a hammock. Users will contemplate a luxury recycled chair.

“SHELL-3-COUCH”, FEBRUARY 2013
Everything starts in a conversation, every spiral emanates from a focus. Organic shapes unite in organic conversation. Tridimensional geometry borrowed from the
natural spiral of a shell is used to create a couch in three-parts, providing a unique space for conversation and connection, echoing ideas of convergence and loop-
ing back. Triple spiral made with tensioned steel, covered by plastic filament mesh generates the Shell couch.

Why is it nature an inspiration source for the design?
