Further Digipak Research – Deciding My Design

Out of the digipaks I analysed I liked The Chemical Brother’s digipak the best and think it portrays the genre accurately due to the fact that if I didn’t know the artist than I would guess that they are dance/electronic which is the genre they are.
However I also admire the edgy fashion-campaign-like m83 cover as I think that arguably electronic dance music is ‘edgy’ in itself and is very fashion-forward and fashion orientated. I chose to look further into cartooned digipaks…

II think that the cartoon photographs contrast is great at portraying electronic dance music.
Furthermore I am heavily influenced by the Klaxons digipaks of mixing fashion patterns and cartoons together.

From researching many electronic/dance artists I have discovered that the majority of the artist’s digipak covers are cartoon styled. Therefore this is the look that I would like to acomplish for my digipak to fit into the genre.
