The Vinten Radamec FE-165 ElevationUnit offers class-leading on-air height control for maximum flexibility in large fully automated, and smallproduction studios.
The elevation unit leverages the columnconstruction of the hugely popular FP-188Fusion robotic pedestal paired with a brandnew drive and transmission design. Everyshot is captured with a high level of accuracyand the ultra-smooth slow movementensures precise shot trimming.
Utilising Vinten Radamec’s ICE controlarchitecture, the FE-165 benefits fromsuperior start/stop motion control, allowingon-air shot trimming. Its extensive heightrange and exceptional speed enable rapidhigh to low transitions that deliver a level ofcreativity previously only achievable throughthe use of small-arm jibs. In addition, theFE-165 can be upgraded for virtual realityfunctionality, to deliver extra versatility tothe studio.
The FE-165 comes with robotic and localcontrol functionality. When local control isrequired, the elevation unit is operated using
a pan bar mounted height controller which isavailable as an optional accessory. Combinedwith an FH-145manual and robotic head,this allows a camera operator to raise andlower the column whilst manually controllingthe head.
Designed to ensure maximum studioflexibility, the FE-165 works on standard IPnetworks and features an integrated powersupply which allows direct mains powerconnection. The compact elevation unitfeatures a small base diameter that willpack into a flight case for transportation ifneeded and is able to be moved throughstandard doorways and over door thresholdswith ease. To save space on the studio floor,mounting adapters are available to supportlarge talent monitors that would usuallyrequire a seperate stand. In addition, acable management net is supplied with theunit, which will fit between the legs tosuspend the cables above the studio floor.
