Page 2: Future Computers #1

Future Technology

• Technology is advancing at a quick pace

• Computers become more powerful that they will eventually revolutionize humanity

Here, we will be learning about Quantum Computers & nanotechnology

Page 3: Future Computers #1

What are Quantum Computers?• Computers that can make direct use of

distinctively quantum mechanical phenomena to perform operations on data.

Page 4: Future Computers #1

Quantum Computer Components

• Qubits or quantum bit- enables you to manipulate 2+ values at the same time

• Microprocessor to store information

• Photons (lasers) for fast & long distance interactions

Page 5: Future Computers #1

How Good Are They?

• So fast & Reliable they can compute long problems at a fast rate

Page 6: Future Computers #1

How Good Are They? (Cont.)If compared to classical computers, Quantum computers can calculate, sort, find, & store information more efficiently than the average classical computer.

Page 7: Future Computers #1

When will we get there?Scientists aren’t sure when we will find the key to these computers, but they estimate that we will begin the Quantum Era in about 2 decades.

Scientist are still experimenting with Phorons & the Quantum world itself

Page 8: Future Computers #1

Nanotechnology

• Work In More Extreme Climates• Will eventually make computers & robots reduce to

subatomic size • Will eventually have medical, environmental, & scientific

uses• Will help give rise to genetic therapies, antiaging

treatments, & other uses such as communication

Page 9: Future Computers #1

Nanotechnology vs. Classical Has subatomic compact

electronics

Will benefit every industrial sector and health care field.

Should also help the environment through more efficient use of resources & better methods of pollution control.

Average-size compact electronics

Not as beneficial for every industrial & health care

Not so efficient for helping environment uses & pollution control

Page 10: Future Computers #1

When will we get there?

• Scientist estimate that we should get this type of technology in a decade.

• Scientists are still studying & experimenting with nanotechnology
