Conference Social EventsAt the end of a day full of informative speakers and sessions let down your hair at the Welcome Function. This event is designed to let you mix and mingle with delegates from both the Future Leaders Conference and the National Conference in a relaxed environment.Drinks will start at 6:00pm in the Trade Exhibition where you can socialise with exhibitors and see the great products they have on show. This is a chance to reconnect with those you know, and meet new faces of the industry in a casual setting.

What To Wear & BringAttendees generally wear business casual or casual attire for the conference sessions. Bring with you:

› business cards, conferences are a great place to meet people so don’t forget to bring along a pile of business cards. A good alternative to this is to connect on LinkedIn so you can continue the conversation outside of the conference.

› a notepad, this may be a traditional notepad, a tablet or a smartphone. If you are using a tablet or smartphone don’t forget to make sure it is fully charged on the day.

WelcomeAs the peak national body for the Australian Caravanning and Camping industry we recognise that the

shape of the industry in years to come will be driven by our Future Leaders.

Since the inception of the Future Leaders program we have discovered that the ideals of the industry’s

under 40’s mirror those of current thinking, yet the thoughts and solutions created by this group also

have different applications to recognised threats and weaknesses within our industry.

The participation by under 40’s within the industry has shown we have a large group of committed and

energetic future leaders looking to get involved in the future direction of the industry. We believe this

commitment and energy must be harnessed and encouraged for the industry to remain relevant and

contemporary with the ideas of this group integrated into the thinking of industry.

With this in mind we are excited to launch the inaugural Future Leaders Conference open only

to those under the age of 40 (as at 11 May 2016) to provide some sensational educational and

networking opportunities to the group.

Including sessions from industry speakers on succession, business ideas, managing up, and personal

finance plus personal case studies from high profile future leaders in the industry, a forum session on

factors impacting youth, a panel discussion from existing future leaders about their experiences in the

industry and thoughts towards the future, and a keynote from Gerry Ryan OAM on his thoughts on the

industry we are excited to invite all Future Leaders to participate in this event.
