Mobile users are the future now

10

Learning needs to be microWorkplaces need to be more alignedMobile learning is essentialWhy are so few organizations providing time for training?Employees really want to learnbut too few are getting it at workPoint-of-need learning meets learners where they are

7 key things we can take away from Deloittes Meet the Modern Learner

11

All the answers are at our fingertips..

The future is self-service and real-time

12

We must learn to do things differently

13

Agile Learning Design (ADL), an approach used by instructional designers and content developers that prioritizes speed, flexibility and collaboration.

14

ADDIE is linear in nature

15

Agile Learning is iterative in nature

16

There are several terms for Agile Learning Design. Two of the most common are:Rapid Content Development (RCD)

This methodology for agile learning design features a preparation stage, iterative design, template-based reusable components and e-learning tools for rapid and cost-effective execution. Also known as rapid e-learning.

Successive Approximation Model (SAM)

This approach to agile learning design has been introduced as an alternative to ADDIE that also emphasizes collaboration, efficiency and repetition. It was developed by Michael W. Allen, chairman and CEO of Allen Interactions, Inc.

There are several things that have made the Agile Learning model work for my team

21

22

Flipped Classroom: What is it?

The flipped classroom is a pedagogical model in which the typical lecture and homework elements of a course are reversed.

23

24

Flipped Classroom: How does it work?

There is no single model for the flipped classroomthe term is widely used to describe almost any class structure that provides prerecorded lectures followed by in-class exercises .

25

Flipped Classroom: Whos doing it?

A growing number of higher education individual faculty have begun using the flipped model in their courses

26

Flipped Classroom: Why is it significant?

Devoting class time to application of concepts might give instructors a better opportunity to detect errors in thinking

27

Flipped Classroom: What are the downsides?

An effective flip requires careful preparation

28

Flipped Classroom: Where is it going?

New tools may emerge to support the out-of-class portion of the curriculum

29

Flipped Classroom: What are the implications for teaching and learning?

The flipped model puts more of the responsibility for learning on the shoulders of students while giving them greater impetus to experiment

36

Micro-Learning is designed to accomplish many things

37

The role of an Instructional Designer changes

38

Be resilientBe Life long learnersLead through the unknownOur roles will changeThe seam will be marked by having a foot in both worldsImplications for all of us as learning professionals
