NileSat was established in 1996 as the first company in Egypt and the second in the MENA region to operate and control satellites in the geostationary orbit & has succeeded in becoming one of leading regional satellite communications provider in the MENA region.

NileSat launched three satellites. Nilesat – 101 launched in April 1998. Nilesat – 102 launched in August 2000. Nilesat – 201 launched in August 2010. NileSat is getting ready to launch its new satellite, Nilesat – 301, within the next 30 months, as the market studies have been finalized.

NileSat has become the pioneer of the regional market due to its:
