OUR MISSION The Family Worship Center mission is to glorify God in our worship and lifestyle by preaching a holistic and life transforming gospel; by being involved in community development efforts and equipping and empowering believers for effective Christian living and service in the local community and beyond. The Family Life Center mission is to restore children, youth and families to personal wholeness; to equip them to perform with excellence; to empower them to succeed academically, economically, socially and spiritually in a complex and competitive society. We strive to achieve these goals by offering weekly services at Family Worship Center and educational programs, counseling, basketball, youth camps and community resource network programs at Family Life Center. We are fully convinced our success in this endeavor will result not only in strong families but also in a strong community. OUR HISTORY Family Worship Center has been a not-for-profit organization under the laws of the State of Alabama and under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code since 1997. Mr. Manyama was the founding Pastor. Family Life Center has been a not- for-profit organization under the laws of the State of Alabama and under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code since 1996. OUR FUNDING SOURCES Family Worship Center and Family Life Center accept gifts and donations from interested individuals, churches, corporations, small businesses, foundations and service agencies who are interested in partnering with us. We are here for you, your family and our community. If we can be a blessing to you, or if you would like to help our organization, please contact us at our office. Stephen Manyama is originally from Tanzania, East Africa and he came to know Christ on Ukara Island through the ministry of the African Island Mission. He has studied abroad and at several institutions of higher learning in the United States. He is married and has two sons and two grandchildren. He also raised two other boys. CLASS OBJECTIVES: Students will show a significant

academic improvement in school and score above the required minimum in

Alabama Graduation, ACT, SAT and GED Exams

The adults we train will acquire the necessary skills to pass the GED Exam; enabling them to secure jobs, exceed professionally and significantly improve their economic levels

Young students and adults will develop realistic views of life enabling them to make wise choices

Families and individuals will experience personal wholeness, healthy relationships, excellence in performance and economic independence

Adults will be savvy in financial literacy, relating with financial institutions and skilled in personal financial management.

SPECIAL INFORMATION: Family Life Center is a qualified DHR

provider English for Speakers of other

Languages and literacy programs are performed in compliance with the Literacy Council of Central Alabama and M-Power Ministries

Summer school programs are offered in partnership with YouthWorks.

Financial literacy seminars are taught by a Wachovia/FDIC certified Money Matters trainer.

Community programs are taught by a volunteer staff in conjunction with Mr. Manyama
