About EEE:
The Department aims at im-
parting high quality technical
education in the area of Elec-
trical and Electronics Engi-
neering and is affiliated to
Jawaharlal Nehru Technologi-
cal University, Anantapur. It
was established in 1994 with
an intake of 60 and increased
to 120 in 2008. Apart from an
under graduate course, the
Department has also been
offering since 2004, one Post
Graduate Program with spe-
cialization in Power Electron-
ics with an intake of 18. The
Department seeks to shape its
graduates into critical, origi-
nal and independent thinkers
sufficiently equipped with the
necessary tools to venture out
into the practical world with
professional competency, who
can add to the body of scien-
tific knowledge. It was ac-
credited by NBA thrice, first
in the year 2005, then again in
2008 and recently reaccredi-
ted in December 2013. Also
the department is recognized
as Research centre by JNT
Univeristy Ananthapur and
full time PhD course is of-
fered from 2013-2014 aca-
demic years onwards.
The department has a
strong pool of faculty with 8
Ph.D.‘s and 18 M.Tech‘s. It
boasts of having highly quali-
fied faculty with an unparal-
leled level of expertise in their
respective fields. The sheer
expertise and dedication of
the faculty members along
with infrastructural facilities
coupled with perseverance of
the students have catapulted
the branch to the top league.
Active research is going on in
the areas of Power Systems,
Power Electronics & Drives
and Control Systems.
Empowering the students towards
Ebullient Engineers for the benefit
