Rules of The Battle of the Books

Rules! Rules!! Rules!!The teacher will ask YOU questions

from the books you read.For example – In which book does a

little girl get a china rabbit from her grandmother as a birthday present?

You have to answer the question by providing the title of the book and the name of the author

You will have more chances to win if you follow the rules of the game!

More rules!!!You have pronounce the title of the book

and the name of the author accuratelyIf you can only remember the title of the

book you will earn two points for your teamIf you can also provide the name of the

author you will earn 1 point for your teamIf you only remember the name of the

author but forget the title of the book, no point!

Even more rules!

Please keep it in your mind…You are allowed to have discussion with your

team members and try to figure out the answer.

But your team only has 20 seconds! If your team can’t answer the question, the

teacher will ask the other team (your “enemies”) the same question

Your “enemies” will have 10 seconds to figure out the answer. If they can answer the question correctly, they will have 2 points!

We are peace lovers! But it’s fun to do The Battle of the Books!

Students need to finish 10 books on the resource list and the first round of the battle will be held in the week of Jan 9-13, 2012

Students need to finish another 10 books and the second round of the battle will be held in the week of Apr 16-20, 2012
