From all reports, Swimming School has progressed very well with many students making big improvements in their swimming/water skills. Although travelling to Adelong Pool takes extra time I think the use of their wonderful facilities has far out weighed the extra travel on the bus. A special thank you to all school staff, volunteers, students from McAuley School and the Coordinators Kristi Bye and Mieka Skein for making this Swimming School such a great success. With Swimming School finished we will go back to our regular school programs and the start of the Stephanie Alexander Program for 2015. Work Experience will also commence next week. Parent and Teacher Planning meetings have been scheduled for the week beginning 2 March 2015. These are important meetings that parent/carers are encouraged to attend. While the dates sent home are the days that the teacher is available, there is flexibility to these dates so if you are una- ble to attend please let the school know and we can look at alternative date and time. Looking forward to getting back into our school routine. Stephanie Alexander Program 2015

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program commences for 2015 next Thursday. The program will

now run over two days each week, on Thursday from 11.30 am – 3.00 pm and Friday 9.30 am -1.00 pm.

The students will be placed into four groups -Science, Kitchen, Garden and Garden Art. A letter will be

sent home so you will know what group your child is in and what activities they will be doing each week.

We will soon have more chooks kindly donated by the high school and with some wonderful help from the

Lions Club our chook pen will be a safe place for our new chooks.

The school has been contacted by the people from the Philmac Project to say our project to irrigate our

gardens is a finalist. The Philmac people indicated that we should find out this month if we were suc-

cessful - fingers crossed! Thank you to all who went to the website and voted for our garden project.

CLASS ONE’S NEWS

Class One has had a lovely start to the year and have enjoyed being back in their classroom.

We have loved the Swimming Program but are extremely tired when we return from the pool.

We are never too tired though to do some creative artwork as you can see below.

Class1 have been reading and looking at the book Big Rain Coming.

Artwork - Frogs love the rain...

Sun dries up all the rain...

Umbrellas keep us dry...

Drawings about their holidays...
