Galileo Learning & Development Portal All your training and development needs at your fingertips Travelport has launched a new Learning & Development Portal to provide you with a one-stop shop for all your training and development requirements. This new portal will not only contain Galileo’s current eLearning service but our complete suite of training offerings.
Through easy access and one time registration, you can now access the following under the new L&D portal:
o Galileo eLearning, our self-paced, online simulation training modules
o Classroom training, face to face instructor-led classes
o Galileo Web Conferencing, instructor-led, online sessions
o Ask Galileo, our online self-help and troubleshooting tool …. And, as all your training records are transferable, if you move to another Galileo agency, your training history comes with you!
Registering for Galileo Learning & Development 1.1 Registration Instructions for new Galileo subscribers If you have recently signed with Galileo but do not yet have a Galileo pseudo city code, please email us at [email protected] for specific log-in instructions.
1.2 Registration instructions for existing Galileo subscribers new to eLearning If you are not a current user or have never registered for Galileo eLearning, we have provided a short demo to show you how to register and enable you to book classroom training or participate in any of the L&D Services - eLearning, Web Conferencing and Ask Galileo. Registration Instructions - please refer to our short Log in movie for further instructions on how to register. If you cannot follow this link, please refer to the link provided at: http://www.galileo.com/galileo/en-au/agency/Products/Training_for_Agents.htm
1.3 Registration instructions for current eLearning users If you are an existing eLearning registered user, your account is still valid and you do not have to re register. (Please do not create an additional account as we are unable to merge records of separate accounts.)

* Please record this account combination for future reference. If you do not have a Galileo sign on, then please use your initials in both fields. If you share initials with another user from your agency, choose another combination to create your own account.
Where to start once you’ve registered Once you have logged into the L&D portal, please click the “Start Here” button which will assist you in your navigation of the site and registrations for courses.
Additional Galileo Support Galileo provides Service Centre support to its Galileo trained consultants. If you do not have a Galileo GDS sign on or your Galileo accreditation has lapsed, simply complete our eLearning Galileo Professional Assessment and your pass mark of 80% + will then give you access to our Service Centre support. The Galileo Professional Assessment is an eLearning exam which draws from the learning objectives covered in the 9 Basic Booking Files and Air eLearning modules (equivalent to a 3 day classroom course).

Galileo Classroom Registering for Classroom Classes
The process for registering for classroom courses is demonstrated in our short movie which can be accessed either by:
• Clicking on the Start here button on the home page or
• Clicking on the following link: Galileo Learning & Development Navigation

Galileo eLearning Registering for and Launching eLearning Modules
Use the following steps to register for a self-paced online course.
1. From the homepage; click the course name.
2. In the I want to… box select Register Myself
3. The Registration request screen appears:
4. Click the Submit button. The Registration confirmation screen appears:

5. To launch the course and start your training, click Launch icon. Note: we are planning to enhance this symbol in later versions of the system to make it more obvious!
6. Once you have registered for self-paced online courses, they appear in the Active Training section on your home page.

Navigating eLearning modules
The self-paced course interface includes the following features:
Feature Description Title bar Includes topic name. Navigation Panel Enables you to quickly access any lesson on a course.
Study Aids
Let you interact with the course by taking notes, highlighting text, bookmarking a topic, and adding links to Web pages.
Progress
Allows you to check the percentage of the course you’ve completed. You can then click Progress to jump to a different topic in the course.
Glossary
Gives definitions for terms discussed in the course. You can also click the red underlined words in the text to see the definition.
Exit
Allows you to exit the course and check your progress.
Click the Next button to see the next step on the topic you are viewing, or Previous to go back.
If no Next or Previous buttons appear on the page, use the course forward and course back arrows to move forward or back.

Searching for Courses using the Catalog At the bottom of the home page, there is a search facility and a wider catalog of courses to select from. The courses most relevant to you will be selectable from the home page above, but you may also browse the catalog for other course options, including foreign language versions.
Please do not register for courses that you do not intend to undertake or you feel are not relevant to your agency.
You may also use the search facility to search for courses.
The following is a description of the icons that you may see on a search result.
Icon Description
Click the star file to add a course to My Favourites.
or
Self-paced online course.
Classroom course.
Instructor-led online course
LAUNCH a course for which you have already registered.

Updating Your Profile You can update personal information, such as email address and phone. Use the following steps to update your profile.
1. Click the Profile button on the top right corner of the Home screen, or from the “Getting Started” box on the left of the screen.
2. The Profile screen appears.
3. Update any fields you need to complete and click OK.
Setting Your Preferences You can customise the way information appears in Galileo eLearning. Use the following steps to set your preferences.
1. Click the Profile button on the top right corner of the Home screen.
2. Click Preferences on the top right side of the screen.
3. The list of preferences appears.
4. Change the time zone, if necessary, to a city in your time zone so that all online classes appear at the time they are taking place in your location.
5. Check the options, such as Getting Started, that you want to appear on your Home page.
6. For each selected option:
7. Select the number of links that you want to include.
8. Check the View collapsed box if you want to collapse the option. A collapsed view requires you to click the open button to display all links.

Viewing your Training Schedule Your training schedule displays all courses/modules that you have registered for, but not yet completed. From the Learn menu, click Training Schedule.
Please note that your Schedule ONLY displays courses/modules that are not yet completed (either eLearning modules uncompleted or classroom courses not marked attended by your instructor.
You can re-access the eLearning modules shown in the Schedule by clicking on the Launch icon (shown below) adjacent to the relevant module. This will relaunch the module at the page where you last escaped the module.

Please note that courses/modules that you have completed are displayed in your Transcript – see next page for more details.

Viewing your Training Transcript A transcript is a printable report that shows your training progress. You can view the status of current, and completed courses. From the Learn menu, click Learning Activity Reports, Training Transcript.
Please note that your Transcript ONLY displays courses/modules that you have completed. You cannot re-access completed eLearning modules, but you can re register and launch new instances of the same course, by selecting from the home page.

The Galileo Professional Assessment Get Certified Online! Galileo provides Service Centre support to its Galileo trained consultants. If you do not have a Galileo GDS sign on or your Galileo accreditation has lapsed, simply complete our Galileo eLearning Professional Assessment and your pass mark of 80% + will then give you access to our Service Centre support. The Galileo Professional Assessment is an eLearning exam which draws from the learning objectives covered in the 9 Basic Booking Files and Air eLearning modules (equivalent to a 3 day classroom course). It is highly recommended but not essential that you first complete these 9 modules. Please note that the Assessments in other eLearning modules are not routinely checked by Galileo, they simply serve to assist you in gauging if you understand the learning objectives.
