2019 seasonLAST SAN ANTONIO START – On May 10, Noesi pitched around a leado" home run by Corey Ray in the bottom of the ! rst to allow no more runs into the seventh, before Lucas Erceg hit a double and Troy Stokes walked, both of whom came around to score a er Kyle Keller entered in relief. Noesi al-lowed only two hits from the second to through the sixth, a double by Cory Spangenberg in the second and a single by Mauricio Dubon in the third.

LAST TIME OUT – Noesi worked his longest outing of the season, going 7.2 innings and throwing 115 pitches to earn the win over Memphis on June 29. It was the second longest outing by a ‘Cakes pitcher this season (Zac Gallen went 8.0 on 103 pitches on April 28). Noesi’s only blemish through the ! rst seven innings was a solo home run by Andrew Knizner in the fourth. But in the eighth, he allowed a leado" single to Irving Lopez, then two more to Randy Arozarena and John Nogowski, leading to two more runs (one inherited a er Noesi’s exit).

CONTRADICTORY – Noesi allowed his 20th home run of the season on June 29, one behind Las Vegas’s Tyler Alexander and Iowa’s Matt Swarmer for the most in the PCL. But, with Zac Gallen on the Marlins’ MLB roster, Noesi is the actively-rostered PCL leader in most pitching categories, including ERA (3.21), strikeouts (98) and WHIP (1.03) while trailing only Gallen and Memphis’s Jake Woodford in average against (.220). irteen of his home runs allowed have been solo, while the last seven were two-run.

UNFRIENDLY CONFINES – In eight starts at home, Noesi is 2-3 with a 4.34 ERA, against a 6-1 record with a 2.24 ERA in eight road starts. Six of his seven quality starts have been away from the Shrine on Airline, as have three of his four scoreless appearances. Opponents are hitting .174 in their home parks, and .266 at the Shrine. irteen of his 20 home runs allowed have been hit in New Orleans. As a team, the Baby Cakes have a 4.14 ERA at home and a 4.55 on the road.

PAPA BEAR – Noesi dominated the Iowa Cubs for the third time this season on May 27. In his three starts, he has allowed only two earned runs, with a 6.0-inning scoreless performance in Des Moines on 5/16. e Cubs charted only 10 hits in 18 innings against him.

APRIL SHOWERS – rough the ! rst month of the season, Noesi allowed only four runs, all on solo homers to le -handed batters. He ended the month with 37 strikeouts, just one behind teammate Zac Gallen for the league lead. Noesi also ranked 4th in the league in WHIP (0.93) and ! h in ERA (1.29).

K MAN – Noesi struck out 12 on 4/25 at Round Rock, one shy of a career high and equaling the New Orleans franchise record. He punched out four of the ! rst seven hitters he faced, and six of the last seven.

THE RETURN – Noesi made his ! rst start stateside since 2015 on 4/6 in game one of a doubleheader against Round Rock, a er three years pitching for the Kia Tigers of the Korean Baseball Organization. e Express knocked Noesi for a pair of long balls, the only two runs he would allow in his Baby Cakes debut. Over his 5.0 innings, he struck out eight, and allowed only ! ve hits.
