Practice social distancing by...
o Place posters encouraging social distancing for customers to see upon arrival and while shopping.
o Set up tables 6 feet apart.
o Use heavy-duty tape or signs to form a flow for customers to follow throughout the sale.
o Ask customers to stand 6 feet apart while in line to pay.
o To reduce the amount of time customers are around the cashier, have customers bag their own merchandise in a di�erent area away from the cashier.
Disinfect tables and items you are selling throughout the day.
o Make sure all merchandise is washed and dried and/or wiped down with a disinfectant product before placing on a table for sale.
o Wipe down all tables and chairs using disinfectant at the end of the day or in the morning before the next day of the sale starts.
Wear cloth face coverings and disposable gloves at all times during the sale.
Have hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol on tables and other places for customers to use.
Have a trash can available for shoppers to dispose of gloves and masks.

o Wash or disinfect all purchased items when you get home.
o Shop alone if possible to keep the crowd down.
o Be considerate to the host of the garage sale.
Do not throw gloves or masks on the ground after you’re done shopping.
