CAST ON 5 STITCHESSet up rows:R1: (WS) purl this, and all wrong-sided (odd-numbered) rowsR2: (RS) k1, kfb (knit front and back of stitch), kfb, k2 OR k2, yo, k1, yo, k2. (I like the bump of the kfb best to mirror the garter selvedge of the border)R4: (border) yo, k1, yo, center stitch, yo, k1, yo (border)Begin CHART A, with border stitches (not shown on chart: RS: k2 — WS: k1, purl to last stitch, k1) or garter stitch (k2 both sides) & center stitch (shown on chart: RS: k1 — WS: p1).
