Question by clio: Where can I get pet consumption grade bone meal?
I am thinking of switching to the raw diet; I can‘t give my dog bones, not even beef
shanks, because he has the jaws of a hyena and several times has ended up in casualty
with bloody stools before I realised the bones were to blame. I have seen bone meal for
sale in the garden nurseries but I am sure I can‘t feed him THAT kind of bone meal.

put on the wooden handles?
Best answer:
Answer by ranger_co_1_75
Any type of oil will do. Mineral oil will soak in the fastest. Motor oils will darken the wood
and take longer to soak in. I have used both and they work equally well.

I picked some zinnias from the garden last night. I liked the way the morning sun was

Question by Due 10/19/10 with baby #1!: “Crystal” trees at garden wedding?
I have seen beautiful centerpieces where people spray paint branches a shimmery white
or silver, put them in a larger vase and then attach flowers and hang crystals or beads
from them. I really love them, and love that they would be pretty inexpensive, but have
mostly seen them used at winter weddings (without flowers attached) Does anyone think
that this would be a good type of centerpiece even if the wedding is a garden/butterfly
theme during the summer?
Best answer:
Answer by OZZIEGAL
i wouldn‘t go to all that trouble if you are having a summer wedding! all the beautiful
trees, shrubs and plants waiting to be pruned and picked?
forget the spray paint. use the branches, etc. in their natural colours. pu$ $ y willows, cats
tails, broom, apple blossoms, cherry blossoms, curly branches, straight branches, leafy
branches and then the flowers! gosh you can create a butterfly‘s dream for your wedding!
add all that to the pretty butterflies you can buy at the craft shops and dollar stores and
you‘ll have centerpieces everyone will love!
good luck with it sweetie, it sounds beautiful!

Question by live it up : How many times should I water my plants?
Hi,
So my plants keep dying and I don‘t know how many times a day to water them, I am
going to plant a Garden but I‘ve taken care of many plants just in a vase and they keep
dying. Can someone please tell me how many times a day I should water them?
Thanks for everyone who answers!
Best answer:
Answer by dragonmomof3
I water indoor house plants once a week. I water outside plants daily. I also water my
veggie garden daily. Flowers in vases have a short life, if you get a week out of them that is
good. I check the water level in the vase daily, and if it is down by half, add water to it.

Question by trettsem: Building A Zen Garden?
I planted a small garden a few years ago, but it has gotten out of hand and I am interested
in turning it into a zen garden. I have a few questions. First of all, what type of sand
should be used? Or is the whole thing just customizable to your own preference? And if
the box is outside, what happens when it rains or snows? Will I have to put a cover on it,
or is it just not meant to be outside? Thanks in advance.
Best answer:
Answer by Shant J
Pretty much any sand will do. You could even paint it if you wanted; I‘ve seen a few with
black sand.

Trillium and Bloodroot in bloom at Morning Sky Greenery
This is my first batch of 2009 photos from Morning Sky Greenery. Sally called to say that
the Trillium and Bloodroot were in bloom and wouldn‘t last long, so I ran out and spent
about an hour shooting in the early morning. I then went back that evening to try to catch
some outdoor shots, but some clouds had come in and the light was really flat. I did get a
lot of equipment shots in the second greenhouse, however, with an emphasis on empty
pots. I probably spent half an hour on those.
After removing the obviously broken photos, I‘ve divided them into two groups: The
"better" shots (in my opinion) (this set) and the rest.
Sally, et al, should go through these and identify photos that they like/think they can use.
Please also tell me when there are gaps or styles that you need and which are missing. I
tend to shoot a very particular way when left to my own devices (lots of close-ups, for
example), and if you need something else definitely speak up!
I‘ve spent most of two hours moving today‘s photos to the computer, filtering out the
obviously broken shots, and uploading the rest to Flickr for Sally to look at.
