The year 2010 was a challenging year because existing R22 (and all HCFCs) systems have to be converted to an HCFC-free refrigerant. It was a busy year, collaborating along with our distribution network, training schools, and sector air conditioning and refrigeration specialists. After all these studies we focus on the drop-in “RS” series from Refrigerant Solutions. The result was that we gave fast, economic, efficient and easy solutions to thousands of installations in Spain, Portugal, France and Italy through the satisfaction of our customers.

Thank you to all these people and companies who have joined us on this journey and help us grow together better day

by day. Our environment requires us to constantly improve and that is why we completed the RS range with the new HFC RS-

50 (R442A). With R442A you can do new installations that previously would have used R404A or R507, and also convert existing systems that are using these products. This new product is more respectful with the environment (Low GWP) and is more efficient reaching energy savings of over 10% power consumption thus reducing CO2 emissions and relieving the economy.

In addition we present the new lightweight steel cylinder of 14.5 l called Xlite which tare weight is 4,5 kg. The cylinder

has a safety valve with liquid pipe. With this package, we reduce transport costs and CO2 emissions. We improved faithful to our principles, technology, quality and SERVICE.

Zitrec MC: is a heat transfer fluid based on ethylene glycol (MEG) with organic inhibitors (OAT). Zitrec MC has a wide range of appli-cations from solar panels or heat pump systems, over cooling or heating of industrial processes and refrigerants in indirect cooling systems to artificial ski-tracks or ice rings. Zitrec MC provides protection against boiling, freezing and corrosion. It is compatible with most other heat transfer fluids based on ethylene glycol. Not recommended for installations with possibility of incidental food contact.

Zitrec: Larga estabilidad del glicol, bajos costes de mantenimiento de la instalación.Many applications in the industry require a fluid to transport heat or cold. Those applications range from solar panels or heat pump systems, over cooling or heating of industrial processes and refrigerants in indirect cooling systems to artificial ski-tracks or ice rigs. This transport medium is usually called secondary refrigerant or secondary coolant. The ideal secondary refrigerant must ensure a good thermal conductivity, have a high specific heat and low viscosity. It is also important that the secondary refrigerant is non-flammable and compatible with common engineering materials. Zitrec range of products like Zitrec MC, Zitrec LC, Zitrec FC and Freezium provide protection against corrosion, freezing and boiling in each application. The dilution is determined by system requirements, mainly freezing requirements. However, to ensure good co-rrosion protection it is recommended to use at least 30 vol. % of Zitrec.

Traditional inhibition Strategy

Zitrec FC – a heat transfer fluid based on USP propylene glycol (MPG) using FDA approved ingredients. Zitrec FC is found acceptable by NSF International for use as a heat transfer fluid where there is the possibility of incidental food contact. Defrosting, cooling and freezing are frequently part of an entire food chain process. In these applications, Zitrec FC and its dilutions are especially useful. Some typical examples include the cooling in the beverage industries such as the cooling of wine, beer, milk and juices. But also during the brewing process, the cooling of fermentation and wort tanks is essential and Zitrec FC will provide here the necessary heat transfer. Further in the chain, Zitrec FC can be used during the bottling process of carbonated beverages, such as champagne or beer, preventing as such loss of carbonation. Zitrec FC provides protection against boiling,freezing and corrosion in each application. It is compatible with most other heat transfer fluids based on propylene glycol.

Zitrec IC is a water-based superconcentrate of organic inhibitors, which requires dilution at concentration levels between 3 and 6% before final use. This low dosage, in combination with the all-round protection Zitrec IC delivers, makes it an excellent economical solution.Zitrec IC is used in heating and cooling systems in both domestic and industrial applicationsusing water or a glycol/water mixture. Zitrec IC is also suitable to inhibit fluids used in heat pumps, floor heating systems and airconditioning units.

Zitrec FC:

Freezium:Freezium is an organic heat-transfer fluid based on pure potassium formate. Freezium has been developed specifically for indirect cooling systems and heat pumps. Freezium provides protection against boiling, freezing and corrosion. It remains completely fluid even if the pipe work is frozen. It is also important that the secondary refrigerant is non-flammable and compatible with common engineering materials.Mixing Freezium with other heat transfer fluids is not recommended. Specifically special care should be taken with calcium chloride, as this can increase significantly the risk of corrosion.Yourselves dilution is not recommended. It is recommended to avoid using Freezium in installations containing Aluminum, Zinc or galvanized steel.

Eurorefrigerants Flex Vibration absorbers are designed for installation in the suction and discharge lines of Air conditioning and Refrigeration system to dampen the transmission of compressor-induced vibration through system piping. Each unit is constructed of a deep pitch corrugated tubing for in-creased flexibility and vibration absorption, covered by a high tensile wire braid for superior strength. Tubing and braid are reinforced by ferrules at each end and connected to female copper tube ends by a high temperature braze alloy.

Safety valves for refrigerant gases

Safety valve alternatives to fusible plugs

Nuova General Instruments has specialised in the production of safety valves for the air conditioning and refrigeration sectors for over a decade, using mainly brass bodies and PTFE seals. NGI has a vast experience in gas and pressure control and uses a valid and proven test system which is described in brief below. To guarantee 100% safe sealing in all its refrigeration and air conditioning products, NGI has developed a special valve testing island incorporating a hydrogen system. This island is able to detect even the smallestleakage, at pressures only just below the valve’s calibrated value, and effectively avoids annoying leakage problems during the plant start-up and commissioning stages. The NGI safety valves are approved and comply with the requirements of the European Directive 97/23/EC (PED), ASME VIII Div.1; on requesttesting can be performed by the most prestigious authorities such as TÜV, RINA, Bureau Veritas, ABS and Lloyd’s Register. In 1995 NGI obtainedthe ISO 9002 quality system certification issued by Bureau Veritas Quality International Italia S.R.L, and is currently certified in compliance with theISO 9001:2008 issued by TÜV.

NGI has developed 2 models of compact, low-cost safety valves to provide valid alternatives to conventional fusible plugs. Unlike fusible plugs, our safety valves are operated by pressure and not temperature, and therefore guarantee precision and reliability at calibrated values. Another benefit of our valves is their extremely low gas dispersion, achieved by closing the valve at just below its calibrated pressure.

A complete series of pipe outlet safety valves, hole sizes from 7 to 25 mm, calibrated pressures up to 60 bar, suitable for use with all REFRIGERANT gases including CO2.

The Quadra system – comprising of thermoplastic flexible capillary hose, fittings in brass and steel and dedicated tooling – gives quick production, in a few simple steps, with superior quality connections to the pressure test points, gauges, the pressure switches including the oil return circuits and oil level equalization, for air conditioning and refri-geration units of each type and size.

More Security:The use of QUADRA fl exible hose eliminates the problems caused by the effect of vibrations that is associated with copper tubing, reducing sound levels and vibration transmission signifycantly and at the same time eliminating the risk of rupture and leak of refri-gerant. More Speed:The possibility of choosing between QUADRA hose already assembled at the factory in standard configurations, or to the customers own design, and the flexibility for the customer to be able to make on the spot their own QUADRA hose assemblies in the preferred configuration using the selection of fittings, components and tools part of the QUADRA system, allow to reduce the time required to make circuits when compared to using rigid copper tubing.

More SimplicityThe complete system of fittings, accessories and tooling, the multi lingual instructions and the great intuitiveness of the QUADRA system make the operation of assembly the connections not only faster but, above all, more simple and consequently more secure. In contrast to the brazing or bending operations that are necessary for rigid copper tubing, installation and connection of QUADRA flexible hose does not need any particular specialization and so making the connecting operation within anyone’s ability.The large fitting range available and the dedicated assembly tooling for the QUADRA hose allows the operator to assemble the ma-chine, or carry out maintenance and to work quickly, flexibly and securely, reducing to a minimum or eliminating completely the need of brazing operations.

Transfer Oil advice the standardization of use of the QUADRA DN2 hose, choosing the orange colour for the high pressure circuits and the black colour for the low pressure circuits, so identifying in an unambiguous way the two parts of the circuit. This reduces the possibilities of misconnections of the two pressure lines of the machine during production and maintenance. Directive 2002/95/EC. The materials used to build the hose and fittings make both the DN2, DN4 and DN6 QUADRA capillary hoses compatible with all refrigerant fluids in the HCFC, HFC families.

EE 1200KThe EE1200K has particularly been designed for direct installation into the Eckerle-duct-system. Equal to the other volumetric systems of Eckerle the EE1200K comes with a high quality Swiss-made piston pump inside.These pumps were specially developed to deliver condensate water. They offer wide opening duck-bill-valves (non-sensitive against water borne contaminants) and further-more they run remarkably quiet. These details arrange a pump system with a long-life-cycle. They provide a higher-than-average performance even at great delivery heights.

Description:The delivery system is equipped with 2 separately operating float switches. The working float switch turns the pump on and off depending on the filling level (with run-on time).The function of the alarm float switch is to isolate the break contact element.

Description:The EE1200K comes in a set with a duct, an elbow, a ceiling seal and instal-lation acces-sories.On request a special moulded foam part is available for different duct brands. This provides an easy mounting into pre-existing ducts.

EE 900M

The all new, patented and whipser-quiet EE900M, is designed to deliver condensate in noise-sensitive surroundings, e.g. in hotel rooms, meeting / board rooms and bedrooms. In contrast to conventional peristaltic pumps, the new EE900M works on the same principle as a reciprocating piston pump i.e. no peristaltic tube, resulting in a maintenance free pump with no wear and tear and no costly tube replacement. The ultra slow motion sequence of the piston ensures hyper silent sound pressure. The pump delivers a constant flow rate, depending on the delivery height.
