The GVT_MkI_SL is a Gas Valve Train designed to be

connected through piping from the Fuel Gas Supply (FGS)

system to gas consumers such as internal combustion engines

(ME-GI). The GVT is designed according to MAN Diesel &

Turbo GVT requirement.

The GVT is controlled by the engine control system and is a

part of the following overall functionalities:

• Supply gas to the 2 stroke ME-GI engine

• Slow pressure build up and supply for engine

• Stop the gas supply to engine and send gas from the

pipe systems and GVT to the vent header in case of

normal or emergency shutdown

• Purging of the pipe system between the GVT and ME-GI

• Purging of the pipe system between the GVT and FGS
