Where2 caught up with J. Gaspar Lino,
General Director at Spanish Development
Company Peninsula to find out more
about its projects in Andalucía and in
particular its emergence into the Real
Estate market in Granada. With over
30 years experience in real estate and
property development mainly in Southern
Spain, Peninsula has successfully developed,
marketed and sold projects of apartments,
commercial business centres and
luxury villas.
W2 – Tell us a little about your projects
for the province of Granada,
Peninsula – Well, we are developing
various projects mainly in Medina Elvira,
a fantastic Golf resort featuring an 18-
hole golf course & exclusive club house.
It includes luxury boutique hotel & spa,
shopping arcade, sports and leisure
centre, horse riding centre and just a
stone´s throw away from Cubillas Lake
with all sorts of lakesides activities. We
are currently promoting Medina Elvira
3 projects of apartments and penthouses
offering a wide variety of apartments
types including state-of-the-art features
and panoramic views over the Golf
course and Sierra Nevada.
W2 – Why did you choose that part
of the province?
Peninsula – As a forward th ink ing
company, Peninsula always anticipates
market development in new areas.
Granada, Spain´s most historic city, has
a huge potential with Spain´s best ski
resort near by, two UNESCO world
heritage sites (Al hambra palace and
Albaycin), a stunning city centre, a
fantastic range of superb restaurants
and tapas bars and of course the
airport with international flights connections
to most major European cities.
W2 – So what are the benefits of
investing in your projects?
Peninsula – When it comes to investments,
location, quality and market are three
key points to consider. Medina Elvira
Golf is strategically located only 10
minutes from Granada´s airport and city
centre, 25 minutes from Sierra Nevada
ski resort and 35 minutes from Costa
Tropical. Also the plot is located within
walking distance of Cubillas Lake in an
unspoilt area with dramatic scenery and
views from any of the projects.
When we create a new project our
clients always come first, meaning that
the quality of the properties, the payment
te rms and se r v i ces o f fe red a re
unbeatable. From an investment point
of view the potential buyer would rather
purchase a property that ticks all these
boxes. What we have become saturated
with property meaning that the offer is
higher than the demand. Our projects
in Granada are absolutely unique to
