This issue of Gaycation Magazine focuses on the travel style and accoutrements must haves as we pack our bags and trek across the globe. Gaycation Magazine continues to strive to bring you mature content regarding gay travel, scouring the globe for insights and resources that will both inspire and encourage you to explore destinations that are off the beaten path. As Joe and I have traveled we have discovered that gay travel is a lot more than just parties and prides. As gay travelers we have all experienced various situations where we suddenly became keenly aware of how far we have yet to go toward acceptance. One example that immediately comes to mind and that a lot of us have experienced is that awkward moment when you check into a supposedly “Gay Friendly” resort or hotel which you booked online. You chose a single room with a King bed, but upon arrival and check in you politely remind the front desk person that, yes you do indeed want a King sized bed for two…
Gaycation Magazine is your resource for everything that you need to know about destinations and travel from a fresh perspective. Our goal is to provide you content and resources about the things that are important to you when you travel using witty and sophisticated writing and plentiful, vibrant photography.
Alas, as with anything new and different there will be bumps along the way, but the future is filled with bright new adventures and opportunities to develop our relationship with you and to create a publication together that continues to push the boundaries of the stale and predictable in order to deliver something truly unique.
