Refer to your entry proof for each exam.
Check the timetable displayed outside the
HOD room for exam venues - the main
exam venue is the hall.

Reporting Time and Seating Plan
Report 30 mins before the start of exam
to check your seating using the seating plan
displayed outside the hall.
Report at the canteen and wait for the
Presiding Examiner’s instructions to enter
the hall.
Attire for Exam Name tag
Be in full school uniform
For boys, keep your hair short and neat
For girls, tie your hair neatly
Do not dye your hair
Candidates may be barred from exams
if they are not properly groomed.

Things to bring for exam
Refer to the regulations and approved list of
calculators displayed outside the HOD room.
Silent and battery-operated.
No extra time given when calculators fail to function. ( the working condition of the calculator is the responsibility of the pupil and a fault in a calculator cannot be used as
a reason for seeking special consideration for the user.)
Not allowed to bring calculator case with maths / scientific instructions / formulas

Printed & approved Hand-held Electronic Dictionaries are allowed for Paper 1 (Mother Tongue Paper)
NO bilingual dictionaries.
Dictionaries should be free from notes and annotations.
Name of dictionary must be written on top right hand corner of answer booklet.

Dishonesty Cases
Malpractice case include:
Possession of unauthorised materials, mobile
phones, bilingual dictionaries, ear-pieces,
headphones, Bluetooth pens, smart watches
Fidgeting about unnecessarily
Turning your head to the back
Making a gesture or small talks
UNAUTHORISED ITEMS Candidates are not permitted to have in their possession,
while in the examination room, any books, notes or memoranda not authorised for use in the examination.
You are NOT allowed to bring into the examination room / hall any unauthorised materials, communicative or electronic devices capable of storing and displaying visual and verbal information.
Should any of these items be found in your possession during the examination, it will be deemed as a dishonest act.
Hospitalised Candidates
SEAB will make special arrangements for a candidate who is hospitalised to sit the examination in the hospital provided that
(a) The hospital has certified the candidate as being medically fit to sit for the examination.
(b) Sufficient notice has been given to SEAB to make the necessary arrangements
Inform the school or form teacher immediately if such situation arises.
Infectious diseases
Candidates with infectious disease (e.g. chicken pox) may take their exams at Pandan Exam Centre @ 700 West Coast Road S608785

Inform the Presiding Examiners immediately if you have
infectious disease
No Re-exam
There is no re-exam under any circumstances.
An absent grade will be given if a candidate is absent for any part of the paper.
Major Train Service Disruption
You should plan to arrive in school at least 30
minutes before the start of the paper.
In the event of a major train service disruption,
you can go to any exam centre nearest to you.
Please note that the Service Disruption must
be officially-declared.
Major Train Service Disruption
If you are able to reach an exam centre before
the end of exam, you will be given the full
duration to sit the exam.
If you arrive after the end of exam, you are NOT
allowed to sit for the exam.

Haze Management In the event if the air quality is in the ‘hazardous’ level, MOE
will consider school closure.
If schools are closed, national examinations would be
rescheduled. SEAB will reschedule the affected GCE-level
papers with examination periods possibly extended.
Affected papers would be rescheduled to the earliest date
available that is subsequent to the initial planned
examination period.
Haze Management MOE and SEAB will announce school closure and
rescheduling of national examinations through a press
release.
School candidates will be informed through their schools.
In the event of severe haze situation, please wait for the
communication from the school.

Candidates are to check that they are issued the
question papers of the correct subject syllabus
& code before commencement of paper.
Candidates are required to write their names,
centre numbers, index numbers and the subject
titles on the first sheet/cover page of their
answer scripts. If loose writing paper is used,
they should also write their names, centre
numbers and index numbers on every sheet.

Pasting Your Barcode Label
Extra booklets
Additional answer booklets used would not
require extra barcode labels.
Candidates are to write the answer script
number on the second answer booklet and
tie the booklets together using a string. Do
not write the name and index number.
DURING EXAM
Candidates should use black or dark blue pen
only.
Work should be done in pen except for graphs,
biological drawings, tables, which are to be done
in pencil.
Correction fluid/tape & highlighters are not
allowed.
END OF EXAM At the end of exam, candidates should stop writing
immediately when told to do so by the invigilator. If writing paper is used, they should arrange their answers in the numerical sequence of the questions, with the smallest number on top.
The answer scripts, together with the cover page provided, should be tied together at the top left- hand corner with the string provided.
Remain seated and be quiet while your answer scripts are
being collected.
Candidates are not allowed to remove from the exam
room any used or unused writing paper.
